BlendJet 2 not working

So I bought the BlendJet2 because of all the fancy ads last year and used it enough to charge it twice over a 2 month period and then stored it away. Fast forward to now, I took it out of storage, charged it fully since it was empty, and threw in some milk and protein mix. Finished my drink and did another two button pushes after I added water and soap for the clean and rinse procedure. Left it upside down in my dish rack to dry and went to work. Came back from work to make a smoothie but now this piece of junk isn't working anymore. It won't respond to presses and throws these light flashes when I try to charge it. Customer service was unhelpful and told me I'm out of warranty and need to buy a new base. Like hell I'm going to do that when it does this after so little use.
Anyone know what these light flashes mean or how to fix this?

Wanted to give an update since it's been a while, but I have not gotten my blender to work, nor have I had the time to take it apart yet. And I assure you upon testing, that the arrows were perfectly aligned. But anyway, I recently found out that BlendJet is recalling a bunch of the early BlendJet2 bases, and checked my serial number to find out that mine is part of the recall. I submitted a request to them after showing them proof of destruction (a pic of the base gasket cut in 3 pieces along with serial number). I might still take the base apart for the hell of it, but if you want to check if your base is recalled, go here blendjet.com/safetyandrecall and click on the link to check your serial number.

Thank you for this information. This explains a lot. I just submitted my recall form; my Blendjet is also part of the recall. It would’ve been nice for Blendjet to notify us, users, about the recall instead of having us to research this news ourselves.

I just got the red button flashing also. I did the following: recharged it, made sure the whole blender was dry, even near the blades. This is what made it work again for me: THE ARROWS MUST BE ALIGNED, not even a little off, like perfectly top and bottom arrows, not slightly off to right or left!

@@naynymph Make sure all the pieces are leveled and screwed on tight. Check if anything is blocking the blade. Other than that, I'd contact them. They answered pretty fast, 24-48 hours...I think. Good luck!

Mine crapped out after three months for no reason whatsoever. I took great care of the thing and never charged it while wet. I went to blend a protein shake and was greeted with the flashing red and purple light, indicating it needed to be charged. I plugged it in to charge it and the light turned a pulsating purple. I tried everything to get it to charge, but nothing worked. I even made sure it wasn't in "locked" mode. After a few tries at charging it, the light went dead entirely. I plug it in and there's just nothing. I remembered I had another BlendJet 2 I bought for a friend but hadn't given them yet, so I opened it up and charged. Once it was good to go, I went to make a protein shake, pressed the button, and.... red and purple flashing light, indicating it hadn't been charged even though I'd just charged it. I plugged it in again and the light turned the same pulsating purple as my previous BlendJet 2. Basically, my first BlendJet 2 died after three months, while the second BlendJet 2 didn't work right out of the box. I spent $45.00 each on these, so now I have $90.00 paperweights. I'm beyond pissed and strongly suggest you avoid these things. They're junk!

This is so very true the Blendjet is not worth the money I spent. The commercials are false. It takes me 10 minutes to get the thing working in the morning even after a full charge. I watched the videos and read the instructions. Some mornings it works and some mornings it does not.

Mine did the same. battery showed full but wouldnt work. Contacted Jetblend and they sent me a new one. I took the broken one apart and tested the batteries manually and the batteries were defective. Basically two vape sized batteries.

The batteries go bad in these units very easily. We have four of them and two of the orginal ones needed at least one, I purchased 4, 3.7 volt, 3400 mah batteries and change both units and actually run better than the other newer ones. You will need a soldering iron.

I compared to another and i noticed a little chip or magnet missing on the flask that didnt work. I tried another flask with the same base and it works.

there are arrows on the clear part of the unit where it connects with the base. It must line up or it won't blend. had the same issue. Has now been working fine for months

Try doing a reset. Push and hold button for a few seconds. Repeat till it cycles into blue pulsing.

Mine won't close all the way and I think that is why it is not working. It is fully charged. When closing, I made sure it is properly aligned, but it still won't close/screw on all the way. So frustrating.

I got mine on summer and had it stored away aswell, but it flashes purple and red three times. The website says it's because its not completely aligned but it is. Idk what to do now

That's why they got the warranty. Sure it is pricey, but you're already paying big buck for it, might as well toss in the extra $10 for warranty. I picked mine out for Christmas. Wanted one because I wanted something powerful as I live in a houseful of people and my timeframe for work is when everyone is still asleep. So I can be outside loading up my vehicle for work and finally making a smoothie for breakfast.

I'm having the exact same problem. It's fully charged and aligned properly(the white light tells me this) but it won't turn on! Flashes red and purple three times then does nothing. I've literally used it once so I am not happy at all

You have to let it fully charge or maybe you’re not screwing it on correctly you have to let the arrows in the back of the blender jet match

Mine stopped working sort of doing the same as yours. The battery lead came undone. I soldered it back on and it works great again.

Mine did the same, I charge it frequently now overnight and after ever other couple of uses because I use it a lot and the flashing lights stop. Another option is it might be in lock mode or the base is not screwed in correctly, I had a lot of those issues since the base LITERALLY HAS TO BE COMPLETELY IN LINED UP WITH THE BASE CORRECTLY, otherwise you will see those damn flashing lights again.

Yeah, I tried all of the recommended solutions but none of them seemed to work. The base was lined up correctly. I think it's possible some water got inside through the USB port when I washed it in the morning.

Try plugging in another USB-C cable and / or the cable block. Mine did the same and it turned out the block I was using didn't work with USB-C cable.

Make sure the arrows are lined up. You might need to push down and turn to get them aligned

My Blendjet had the same issue so it had to be tightened further past the arrows lining up before it would operate. Blendjet is a dangerous company committing a dangerous scam. The company sends out knowingly faulty products & then to prevent law suits, it creates a fake recall promising to replace the faulty product after telling the unsuspecting customers to destroy their initial product and to show proof of doing so. The promised replacement products are never sent & when questioned Blendjet just says they are low on stock & to just wait. This has been going on for over 15 months for me but it's also occurring globally. Also Blendjet has a very real chance of micro plastics contamination into the blended liquids. Buyer beware!

Unfortunately, I did not. I just found out that BlendJet is doing a recall on a bunch of the earlier BlendJet2 bases and applied to get a replacement since mine was one of those recalled. You can find out details and check your serial number here: blendjet.com/safetyandrecall
