The child said the blend sound correctly first...not "plaa" BUT like the child said, "pl"

I'd like a kindergartener again in Mr. Greg's class as makes kindergarten learning FUN

It's /pl/ like the first kiddo says, not /pluh/ like the teacher says. It's important to be precise and teach kids to "clip" the blend, not add the schwa sound at the end.

Abigail Swingle it’s also important to remember that this is A REAL LIFE CLASSROOM AND A HUMAN who sometimes makes mistakes. Notice the kids are saying the correct sound which means they’ve been taught the correct sound. We’re all entitled to slip up once in a while.

Gloria Wieand welcome to a real life classroom where the teacher isn’t perfect. Sometimes we slip up and make mistakes and THAT’S OK! Have a great day!

Yes as a teacher of over 10 years it is pl not pluh.

YES! Thank you for pointing this out. Those that are watching this video in order to learn how to teach a child to read need to know this. It may be beneficial if Greg could make a note of this extremely common mistake in the description. 🙂

I love that they are shouting out the answers and still sitting. It shows they love blend bootcamp. You're an awesome teacher. Once you teach it how do you have them practice the blends?

Pl does not say "plu." You are adding a vowel sound at the end. For example I would not say "plu"ane... plane.

I’m a human and sometimes I’m not perfect. It happens to us all.
