Blendtec Total Blender vs Vitamix Explorian E320

Not a fan boy of either brand but was in market for a higher end "value" model blender. Purchased Blendtec last year & Explorian today. This is an unbiased review and I honestly can't say one did an exceptionally better job than the other. Please give me a break, this is the first video of this kind that I've ever done :D

I love my Vitamix E320! Chops, blends, purees, makes ice cream, soups, shakes, smoothies...!! Just truly a great blender!

hello! if you can help me, I just bought a E320 and say you comment, do you have any issue with flavor transfer from soups to smoothiees in the same container? or do you use 2 containers? thank!

I have used both the blendtec and vitamix, and in my tests the vitamix is smoother.:)

might be cause the blendtec is overloaded... can't expect it to perform the same as a blender with a larger jar

you mentioned your vitamix being a lower end model. is there such a thing? dont all their units have the same motor? i think it's just a preference on features that differentiates the models.

The vitamix has three types c,g and the ascent class and venturist 1200 which are self detect models the blendtec has the four side jar and the wild side jar.

This Viamix is for smaller batches. Perfect for a single person or couple. The more expensive ones can make drinks and soups for an entire family. So this vitamix isn't low end, just for smaller batches.

Cat Funk no, it still has the 64 ounce container and a 2.2 horsepower motor it just has less features. What you said apply stock the e310 not the e320

@@brookelm3809 I believe the hp rating for this one is 2.0hp while the c, v, pro and adventurist series are 2.2hp. Not that it'd make a big difference.

How do you feel now about the blenders? I’m looking into getting a new blender and considering the vitamix explorian series or lowest blendtec.

It's not lower end at all. It just has less features such as no presets or bluetooth. That's it. For smaller quantities you will need a 30 oz blender jar. The large one cant do less than 2 cups well. It's not the blender it's the jar. All the vitamixes perform similarly. It's just the extra features make them more expensive. What time of year did you buy it on Amazon? It's a great price.

I agree with you. I’ve seen reviews by test kitchens and they all say that the E310 is a super blender that really does a wonderful job in both the home kitchens and professional kitchens alike. The E310 models are great if not better than the “higher end counterparts” the only difference is that you’re paying for the extra button knobs an other features of the other vitamix blenders and I agree 110% and I’m overjoyed with my E310 vitamix purchase. So yes I totally agree, it’s not at all a lower end blender. It’s awesome

Thanks for making the video! I have to say though the comparison is not very good since as you said, the blendtec was overfilled way above intended. I watched only until the 2:30 mark though so this comment is regarding only the first test if there were more!

Good video, the Vitamin obliterated the ingredients compared to Blendtec. If obliterate is what you like, Vitamix is the way to go.

Yikes! I just checked out Consumer Reports readings for high-performance blenders. I always thought that the Blendtec blender was supposed to be enclose competition to the Vitamix but it isn't! Not only is the Blendtec one of the lowest rated 4 performance but it literally has the worst predicted reliability of any other blender on the market. Worse than Oster and Hamilton Beach. Much much worse

Blendtec is junk even their jars are junk the motor eats up the gasket under the blade the jars and the machine wobble all over the place, its new home is in the landfill, purchase myself a vitamix 4 mnth ago the funny part about it they still sell their failure jar product without upgrading it.

You have to run the Vitamix on high, after you ramp up the speed, it didn't look like you turned it to high. It cools the engine

They've changed it. Now the button in the left is a pulse button. 10 is now the same as high.

You should use the wet container for the vitamix instead of the one you used which is the dry container hhhh
