Great job! I enjoy the character Blade very much. And I agree that the modifications made to the character by Wesley Snipes and the filmmakers of the 90s film, made the character much better than his original portrayal in the comics. It was an excellent retcon.

Ernie, Eric was born immune to vampire bites & could sense supernatural beings but didn’t gain the superhuman attributes of a vampire until Morbius BIT HIM

I've agree with you, until he was bitten by Morbius, he only had minor enchantments to his physiology like enhanced senses and slowed aging but upon being bit by Morbius again superhuman strength, speed and I endurance unless this as been retconed.

I'm happy Blade has become one of the main Avengers lately. Him being the main character (sorta) in the recent, excellent "Heroes Reborn", was a nice suprise as well. Still curious to see where the comics take him as far as being a vampire sheriff. 🤞4 "Midnight Suns: Damnation" in the MCU/MoonKnight team up &/or appearance in Werewolf by Night this Halloween!!!!

Loved this video, and I'm curious about the upcoming rendition of Blade in the MCU. I know Mahershala is gonna act down, but I'm hoping they bring in Blade's daughter Fallon Grey. It's a shame she didn't get some time in the comics already. Her concept was dope.
@levensonlivingston89932 жыл бұрын
Unless his origin has been retconed, I thought blade on had minor enchantments liked slowed aging and enhanced senses. Of course I'm referring to the marvel comics version. Maybe this has been retconed and if so, can someone tell me where and when?

Great one you did on blade & I agreed white writers writing black characters is something to me they focus on the negativity instead of development the character in a positive way
@adamcedeno74652 жыл бұрын
I so disagree. The fact that a White Man created a black character shows balls that his time in the 70s he did what no one else was doing..creating black hero like Blade. Making historical movement for your culture. He swam opposite to the masses. Storm is a legend because in the 70s there was not black women u had Wonder woman status quo no longer. Pay respect to that's brave writers his did things there own way. Instead of Blerd injecting racism into it pay respect for the dare. Stop and think don't be controlled by a liberal hive mind

@@adamcedeno7465 thank you for telling me I’m right white writers do not do black characters in a positive way it is base on more on stereotypical propaganda than fact & your comments just told me I’m right
@adamcedeno74652 жыл бұрын
@@tonypowell9681 I think. Your 100% wrong you either appreciate love him as he was created or you don't. So with that said wouldn't be here right now debating this if a white writer created a black superhero. Rather you like how you or Blerd feel how hen is depicted your choice to love or hate him but appreciate his creation such much so you made a video about him and debating because the writer is White. Don't be mad. Writing fiction is a art. It had no color. It's like saying Eminem depicts blacks as angry because he sings rap and he's white. Even tho Rap.was created by blacka in NYC Bronx he neither lives there nor has the same skin so he shouldn't sing it because he does not represent blacks well . Don't be a Hive Mind

I've been collecting comics since 1978 (I'm 48). I wasn't a fan of Blade initially. He was too stereotypical. It wasn't until after the Blade movies that caused Marvel to write him without the stereotypes that I became a fan of his in the comics.

Blerd, I agree: much of the character development of Blade hS to be rightfully attributed to Wesley Snipes' portrayal of him. Prior to Wesley's portrayal, I found Blade to he quite two dimensional and disinteresting.

Luke to me Needs a modern re-do Or just better stories They have these characters but don't do anything
@georgetinker12922 жыл бұрын
@@hoodiek6802 they don't know what to do with him. He's too old an established to mess with radically. To me the only thing I see is to make him really anti hero. I would like to see him go really conservative and try to hold heroes accountable for tearing up New York City. To the point he gets villains and anti heroes to be his private army. They treat him way too lightly and he starts winning hearts and minds. To seem him playing someone calculating would be different
@blaxpoitation85282 жыл бұрын
@@hoodiek6802 Bro! I’ve been saying this for the longest. Luke most def needs some kind of reboot, retcon and I would argue a power upgrade. I think he should also get a costume. They upgraded Iron Fist big time, but they’ve pretty much left Luke the same for so many years. At this point, they should’ve made him as strong as Warpath, Colossus, She-hulk, or the Thing. Characters like Cage and Falcon are in desperate need of upgrades. Marvel be sleeping on so many characters.
@mr.lukecage74052 жыл бұрын
I love Luke Cage and I agree with you but they're determined to make him a far left leaning, cop hating hero that's submissive to his former alcoholic wife. 70's Cage still the best version.

Hell yeah they did. Made our boy Blade look hella goofy and watered down, no thanks to Disney, Sony and this soft generation of easily offended over nothing type individuals we're all living through. It's funny that in the 70's Blade was to be Marvel's first movie featuring Richard Roundtree of Shaft fame. Then in '98 , Blade again is Marvel's first movie success. Booo-yah!
