My thing is and issue always has been. Why did Emma never do anything about this. or any other strong telepath do This for him. But one of the first things Jean does when she comes back is save this kid's life. At the same time trying to build a nation. Jean came back and made most X-men look just plan lazy.

That would be an interesting story to tie in with Colossus and his bother Mikhail right now since the latter is causing bullshit for Krakoa. Since Gentle's dad has the X-Gene, there's a chance he is a developed mutant, or could've fostered other mutants.

I do have one minor quibble with the end of the video - Colossus was shown to be a more peaceful character from his earliest appearances. He has been through many changes since of course but it's been a part of his character before Gentle's. Maybe not a full blown pacifist but still.

Another black character that is dope af that marvel does nothing with. Marvel has a habit of keeping the black power houses on the shelf for years while force feeding us sidekicks i.e war machine and falcon. Black Panther is dope but he's no power house like Blue Marvel, Gentle or Synch. Storm was done so wrong in the X-Men movies. Don't even get me started on DC comics. I appreciate these videos about lesser known Black Marvel characters. They are very informative. They also confirm my distain for Marvel's introduction and use of Black characters. So the writers wanted to 'body' Gentle. Not surprising. They killed Darwin, Synch and ..... There's this psychological thing, a reflex, a trait that compels white writers to give Black characters short lives, tragic upbringing, or some other device to isolate them. This is not limited to Marvel. EXAMPLES: Bumble Bee - DC Mother's Milk from the Boys Synch Darwin Spawn - Image comics Black Mantis - DC
