Blerd Without Fear Same here! Most the time in comic books when they gave a black character some important it was always female. So it was nice to have a young enthusiastic, intelligent and capable leader to refer to back then. It shaped me more than they’ll probably ever know. One more thing I’m kind of bummed out on the fact that Duane McDuffie didn’t like that character that much. Because Duane McDuffie is another one of my favorite and biggest heroes.

I always liked Night Thrasher and the New Warriors, at the time I was collecting his comics, I guess like everyone I was a fledgling skateboarder and tinkerer. I really like that they rebooted the New Warriors and my side note is that every mutant that's on a team is there on the behest of Krakoa and the Silent Counsel.

Man, I still remember the scene in New Warriors when Dwayne can't remember his parents faces... and you just see them as faceless corpses... and how deeply it effected him. And the time he didn't realize Rage had better dealt with family loss than Thrash himself, and reopened that wound for his ward. Then having to fix an emotional wound he caused. For whatever problems gave him life, he had some great character moments.

Loved original Thrasher since his inception and have Every appearance. Major "Bummed "when he died in Civil WAR and always thought the "MTV" TEAM theme was beneath the character. Never much liked his Brother,due to THEIR "rivalry"(you KNOW what I mean). Saw him in INCOMING and wondered HOW. Little by little add the team up make Bandit his Robin, have him meet White Tiger Ava Ayala as his potential love interest / partner. Blindspot be his protege instead of Daredevil's make him more like his version of Jason Todd. I'd also have him just go after the who's who of villains ofbthe week.

They totally missed the gem of making Night Thrasher Marvel’s smarter Batman. They also need to revisit the story of the Children of the Pact. They should make a 12 issue maxi-series to revisit the Children of the Pact and relaunch the New Warriors. I would love to see this. For real.

I loved how as a young teenager, I was able to see a black male as the leader of a superhero team. It was awesome!. We will see how this new run will be in April. He was one of my favorite characters reading in the 90's He was one of the few cool black characters in comics which was nice to have as a black kid. It unfortunately at times hurt the character, comic book writers some times would write characters in stereo typically black circumstances as if we would some how forget the character was black. But that aside he was a character with so much potential but was just tossed to the side never feeling he reached the levels he could have. P.S. The bombshell of learning his surrogate parents were actually his parents killers after the first 25 issues had me trip'n

Yeah I think that was the main problem with Thrasher and many other black characters. There were rarely, if ever, any black people actually writing them. Nowadays, we have a lot more black and brown people in Marvel and DC, and all of a sudden the characters are starting to improve. If only they started out with that in the beginning... hell, there's no telling what Night Thrasher would have become

Our black characters rarely get the limelight they deserve. Its really sad. I've been researching black characters to cover on this channel for a while now and it breaks my heart how many I stumble across that are getting zero time to shine. Thats why whenever I see brothers and sisters out here creating... I'm giving them my business. Cause Marvel and DC act like we don't buy comics.

I actually used to be a fan of Night Thrasher. Seeing a badass superhero who rode a skateboard inspired me to try skateboarding as a teen. I wasn't very good at it but I still had fun. Great to see this iconic character finally getting some love again. I'll have to check out that comic when it comes out.

I am glad. He is one of my favorite heroes. I want Marvel to bring him back in the future meaning..someone did not kill him off. I wish his brother picked up his mantle though. His brother started a couple New Warriors teams I liked. They never got to be apart of other comics but they should Marvel World would be more interesting. Hell’s Kitchen and other places would be on fire for sure.

Loved Night Thrasher because back then there were only a few African American Superheroes. I want more Black Monster Superheroes, like Spawn, Crux, brickhouse from tribe those are unexplored territories for black Characters...

Never knew about night Thrasher I know about rocket racer and Prowler those are a couple of my favorite black characters from Marvel but I love vigilantes Heroes that don't have to have super powers to get down I can respect the character and I like them a lot I do hope they do more with the character

I know he is similar to Batman, but I always thought of him as a lower rent version of Iron Man. Hell, they crossed over at one point during his solo series. But I always did feel like he was a character that passed under too many radars. My high school buddy Kareem introduced me to him (that's right, I was in high school during the 90s). This video is a great introduction to the character, skateboard and all.

Most definitely. Thrasher was easily one of the lowkey most tactical characters. He was almost always ready. And he wasn't scared of going up against big time threats

Night Thrasher is awesome. I remember just this past year seeing him team up with Punisher and some of the other Marvel anti-heroes. He's able to make skateboards into a cool weapon.
