Mounting the s2r odawgs and the bullet proof oil cooler. My issue is I can’t plug in the injectors on passengers side.

These are great intakes. I had both clearance issues mentioned in this video. I had to space out the pully with a washer and I did the same to my alternator under it on all three bolts. I also had an issue with my hard line for the heater hose. I had to flatten in out some because of clearance where it runs from the front cover along under the alternator. Well worth it though. Definitely a much better design than factory.

Yes sir with the bigger ports some clearancing may be needed

I had the same interference with the heater hose hardline. Pressed up hard against the front of the intake.

proud owner of a s3r here, one thing i would like to add is the that the odawg intake is taller than stock and im not able to access my ipr valve anymore to air check at the hpop. its just a tad to tight to get my hands in there anymore...

We've been able to slide the socket in to break it loose

You don't have to pull the turbo to remove intake manifold! I do oil cooler job for much cheaper because I leave the turbo on.

Are Ford factory intakes gaskets still usable or am I hostage to ODAWG gaskets?

Do you recommend upgrading the turbo with this to take advantage of the air flow/volume increase? I’m currently using stock injectors and don’t know how much HP the stock turbo/injector setup can support.
@BlessedPerformance Жыл бұрын
That's never a bad idea at all but certainly not needed you will see gains with a stock to wild turbo upgrade

On their website it says for 03- early 04's need the 04+ fuel bowl. Is that the case???

@@kevinmoran2423 agreed. And after installing it after trying the original one that fits also, I have no idea why they say to buy it. At least I have a new one of those now I guess, even though the other one was just fine 🤷🏻♂️

@@BlessedPerformance nice. Im about to put cams in two different trucks rn. I would like to see the difference in mpg that cam and intake would make together. I dont think I could convince either customer to spring for it tho.

@windstarpro combined I would expect a 2-4 MPG gain when using a Stage 1 and Odawg Ported Intake.

They don't fit worth a Crap. I can't believe I had to grind on my $950 intake! Hits idler pulleys.... Injector harness wont plug in.
@BlessedPerformance2 жыл бұрын
We did talk about the pulley to inform folks which you don't need to grind it at all. The harness is tight but we've never once had one not fit. Give us a call Monday we would be glad to help 1-800-577-2698

The idler pulley might need a spacer which is mentioned on Odawg website. My 2005 did not need a spacer. The issues I had with the intake was my alternator which is 185 amp motorcraft and larger than stock would hit the intake so I needed spacers for that and I had a large exhaust leak at the egr cooler not the clamp end. So it might only needed to be tightened more to fix it unfortunately did not know where the leak was coming until I removed the intake and I just reinstalled the stock one. Might install and try it again because I do like the potential benefit but not going stock always has its hiccups.
