New songs are always the hardest to take in. These boys signed to a new label this year. We can only hope this means some of the best work from them. I too was expecting a little more heavy hitting riffs and screams like in their teaser on twitter. I'm a huge fan so I will support them regardless. Really looking forward to this new album. Honestly this is the closest to “generic” of any metal band i listen to, but im never disappointed because it’s just... really good. Everything is mixed well, individual instruments/vocals are performed well, composition is fluid; btf just do their stuff really well and if you find it to be close to generic like i do, you have to admit that if you had to listen to generic, it would have to be these guys.

This song is really great and I’ll always support BTF because they’ve always been solid, but this made me realize Hollow Bodies just can’t be topped. I wish they put in the effort into trying to match that, because they totally could, but choose not to and go the more catchy route. Here’s to hoping they have some really unique and more creative songs on the album. I’m optimistic though.

Nikita Ember yeah the bass player is Jared and yes he does most of the screaming. But Elliot is the guitarist opposit of Eric. And Elliot is the one who does the screams at the end of the song “Walk on Water”. And his screams are fuckin amazing and they should let him do more instead of putting it all on Jared.

I don’t think it’s too much of a change. It still sounds like blessthefall since they haven’t changed vocalists every album like other bands. I think it has a similar feel like the change we saw with Like Moths To Flames, which all in all, Dark Divine turned out to be a great album. I think blessthefall needed something similar to happen to open up their fan base and progress. True, it’s not as heavy but I think we’re still going to get an album that’s genuinely built tunes with a catchy tone like this track. Looking forward to more!

Idunno how I feel about it. I was huge into BTF back when Beau joined and have seen em 7 times. Of course it's going to be different than Witness, Awakening, and HB, but it seems to be lacking a creative element. They're all crazy talented at what they do, but this seems a bit safe knowing how good they each are as musicians/lyricists. I'll always listen to BTF though. Great guys and musicians.

This is already a step up from the last album. Anyone who’s been a fan from the beginning knows that their last album “to those left behind” was the worst. This is one single and I think they’re on the right track. I’m super stoked for their album to see what they’re going to do with it. It doesn’t need to be heavy. There’s a ton of light songs if you compare “witness” and “awakening”. (One of their top albums next to His Last Walk). So I can’t wait to preorder it. I think you all need to wait and see before you cast a fast judgement on one single.
