Don't get me wrong.. I love Blessthefall, and they're one of my favorite metalcore bands. Got to pop my crowd surfing cherry seeing them live on the recent Warped Tour. I'm not sure if I'm slowly growing out of metalcore, but their older albums such as 'Witness' and 'Awakening' seemed so much more original and pack more of a punch. Songs like 'Bottomfeeder' and 'What's Left Of Me', etc. Maybe because they have more history and nostalgic value for me while I'm slowly transcending into progressive metal (more technical stuff). Does anyone else feel the same as me or does the quality and originality of the music seem to still be present for you guys? Their latest album just doesn't move me as much. Maybe it'll grow on me though. I've only given it a couple listens so far.

+Alfonso Navarro Wow, I'm glad someone feels the same way. What are some progressive metal bands you've been enjoying? As for me, it's Periphery, Veil Of Maya, ERRA, and some metalcore such as Northlane and August Burns red. There's so much talent to be found in other metal sub genres. All these old Metalcore bands such as Of Mice & Men, Memphis May Fire, and more that I used to love to death have just fallen off the sides for me. I also just listen to their older stuff for nostalgic reasons, and that's about it. It's just not as creative and technical for my standards. I've been spoiled with too many great new discoveries.
