The fact you're Chinese ethnicity is meaningless if you can't even do that. Also Chinese people are "smart" in that the cultural background of Chinese culture influences a lot of families to prioritize and care very much about the education and academics of their children as it was usually the only way for families of poor backgrounds to attain higher status.

There is a reason why the Confuscius institutes were closed in US and the West. When people learn mandarin, they tend to dig and search Chinese history and news beyond the Western media. They then have a more positive view of China. All these "Pro China" KZbinrs learn Mandarin in their adult age. There are a few exceptions however, vSerpentza and C milk.

The first young man said that he likes to communicate with the waiters in the restaurant and does not like ordering food on the phone. It seems that the tipping culture is still customary in the United States. The waiter keeps in communication with you. After the meal, he asks you how you think of the service, and then leaves a starting tip of 15%. There is no tipping culture in China, so waiters don’t need to take too much care of guests’ communication needs, they just need to do a good job.
@DubboU
@DubboU 9 күн бұрын
Tipping culture makes zero sense. In a way, it is kinda degrading, trying to make ends meet based on other people's generosity as if there's no dignity in it. WHY AM I responsible for compensating a service by performance, when a good service SHOULD be expected, which is supposed to be maintained by the establishment owner/management?

@@lhtlvhantao China ppl generally eat a much greater variety of food ingredients. You'll find that there are nearly 100 kinds of vegetables in a grocery market in China vs less than 20 kinds of vegetables in a Western supermarket. Chinese also prioritize food above all else, aka 民以食为天 (food is the top concern of ppl). If Chinese consumers feel uncomfortable with any food, they'll try to eat more to overcome this discomfort. Gradually, they overcome the allergy without being aware of it at all.

Serious maintenance? Very serious. It has been going on for 2 years for the red line. Not sure when the maintainence/repair/upgrade can be completed. Delays, service interruptions happen everyday, can be at any moment. In some areas,the slow zones, the trains run at 8 or 9 miles per hour. I suspect those trains already have AI installed. They stop between the stations as they wish. But in general Boston subway is safe. It's a life/death decision to take NYC subway.

This is what I find too. KFC in China for some reason tastes better than Australia. But McDonald's in Australia tastes better than Chinese ones. Maybe it is because that Australia has better beef and China have better poultry.

I think Chinese people are not as leisurely and happy as people from other countries. Another sad thing is that the vast majority of foreign bloggers come to China for tourism, and almost all videos do not feature well played local Chinese friends accompanying them
