Hi guys, I love all the bulletnose locos. That’s a wonderful model. Such a futuristic design when it first came out. Dreyfus really like aircraft from the era. And used it in his designs. Thanks for the unboxing, review, and the running session. See ya next time.

The only thing they still haven’t fixed on the model is the lack of covers on the coal bunker.

Do you have issues with derailing? My pilot wheels are always slipping off the track on tight curves

Hi, thanks for watching, at the moment no issues from this model in my layout. I will see if I can run it on another layout to test it again. All the best!

@@UnionPacificAustralia sounds good! One more question for ya, the pilot wheels a like, detached in a sense from the frame. A little spring like mechanism in place to stop it from rubbing. Is that the same for u?

@@261fan All good, yes correct. I have the same setup in my loco. Talk soon!

At about 6:05 into the video, take a look at that running board on the right side of the locomotive. It is wavy. It looks like someone may have pushed a bit too hard on it with their thumb just above the valve gear and bent the running board a bit. You might be able to adjust it with flat nose pliers and some TLC.

Sadly, a potentially great model loco ruined by poor design. I was so happy when BLi announced this loco, I ordered two versions. They finally arrived and I took them to the club, attached the six very light coaches and ran it up a 2.5% grade. By the time it got to the top it was waddling like a duck. The traction tyre had twisted. I packed that one away & got the other one out. smooth on the flat, then up the hill & it waddled like a duck. Two failures out of two. I was hoping to order a Non-Traction tyre driver, but BLi don't make one. So now I have two very pretty display locos. BLi state "Impress your friends",... well they were impressed by how bad BLi Hudsons were and the conversation soon went to how bad BLi Traction Tyred locos are, with endless horror stories. I would love to buy more BLi locos, but not with traction tyres. Hey, wouldn't it be good if BLi put a set of Non-Traction Tyre drivers in the box. Never happen while they chase the toy train market instead of the modellers.

How did you get that exact whistle for the engine? I have one of these engines but it doesn't have the whistle you're using as one of the 3 choices.

As with almost all BLI Steam locos, the valve gear eccentric rod barely moves! A total deal breaker! That’s why it’s so sad that MTH has gone out of business-their HO steam locomotive’s eccentric rod moves so beautifully, just like the real thing.😞
