I love randy hansen, one of the rare guy that totally understand jimi's music. And if you think he is just copying jimi you are wrong. First, copying jimi is really hard to achieve, and consider this: he is playing jimi's music like any classical musician will play bach or mozart or any DEAD musician/composer. So we should all say thank you to Randy Hansen and wish that he lives for as long as he can !!!!!

I have played in bands for around 30 years in the style of Hendrix, SRV, Trower, Rory, and i have never seen or heard anyone capture the soul of Hendrix like Randy Hansen does.

I challenge ANYONE to distinguish Randy's voice from Jimi's. He is absolutely spot on. I've covered Stevie's and Jimi's music my entire music career, and let me tell you...those two have such unique voices, that I'm blown away by Randy's talent! Randy, you've got a new fan.

I went to a concert of the Jimi Hendrix Experience in 1969. I never thought I could hear Jimis music live again many years after he died. But Randy made it possible. I am so glad someone like Randy is still alive and well.

I am close to 60, never saw him live -- but collecting anything I can over the years. Used to be just bootlegs in off handed stores, now we got KZbin. To do a Hendrix version studio is hard enough, to copy a live version is near impossible. This version sums it all up -- Randy and his group gets it.

This is a phenomenal performance. The first time I saw it, I was excited to notice he was playing the version from the album which I believe was from the first set at the Fillmore East on the last night of 1969. I wasn't so excited when he started the guitar solo and veered off into notes that Hendrix never played. Simplified considerably. I know this because I have been studying this song for the last 2 years, and can play 2/3 of it, exactly note for note, as Hendrix did. It can be done, with enough patience and analysis of each note slowed down. Still, Randy is the best doing it professionally.

This is the same Randy Hansen I saw in concert in Denver, Colorado at The Rainbow Music Hall Sept. 29, 1979! I still have the ticket stub. Paid $6 for Gen. Adm. Until now, I had found NOTHING on this guy during searches on the I-net for the past 15 years! He billed himself back then as "Randy Hansen's Machine Gun-Tribute to Jimi Hendrix". Thought maybe he died. Glad to see he is ALIVE & WELL...still playing! Thanks for posting!

It has been said to the point of the "dead horse" clique......just wind up a 1/2 dozen tracks of Randy, and then turn away from your monitor....turn up the sounds, and listen. Yup, thats Jimi. and you can be sure Jimi had a hand in this prophetic moment. Learning the tracks, playing with the same guitar, thats amazing, in and of itself......how do you make the goosebumps go away when he even makes the same mistakes, at the same point, in any track, as Jimi did???????

Here the band plays very well. I like very much. The sound is very much like , the same thing happens with the unattended.
