i just bought my first stagg bottle yesterday and its batch 22A. I havent tried it yet but i was hoping it would have that cherry bomb flavor everyone talks about. Kind of disappointing to hear it misses the mark. I did get it for 45 dollars though so cant complain about that

I was able to score Stagg batch 18 and 22B last fall and love then both. Had a pour of EHT FP at a bar. Not sure of the batch but it was great. On the lookout for a "reasonable" priced one. Enjoyed the video!

I like these comparisons but I think when amending your initial score based on price it should be either retail or secondary, especially on the rare allocated bottles. The pricing somewhere in between doesn’t seem helpful. Maybe even have separate scores for retail pricing and secondary?

We hear ya. There’s no easy solution that will make everyone happy so we go with 1) what we might be lucky to find it at, and/or 2) a price near enough that won’t tip me off to what it might be if it’s a hyper-specific price like $82.89 for EHTBP. Maintaining the integrity of the pool and blind tasting results are paramount.

I'm a huge EHTBP fan. Batch 10 is considered one of if not the best batches. This is a buy all day long for me at 200-300. I'm pretty lucky in my area these drop about 3 times a year and I can usually get a couple right around 250ish. And with them being so good it doesn't bother me paying that for them.

We’re not a traditional whiskey review channel. We just hang out and sip stuff blind and our videos are just like if you were hanging out with us and sipping along. As for the break, we’ll agree to disagree. It’s prudent and very necessary to actually assess the pours without talking to the camera or each other (and nobody wants to watch us sit in silence for ~5 minutes while we sip and think).
