Been a PBR drinker for 20+ yrs. Before that I was a high life drinker. Still like both. Now with the bud light thing going on, PBR is sold out alot so high life is my goto beer.

High Life is great, and recently I've become a Miller Lite drinker (just from doing blind tastings). Good stuff!

Highlife if by miller, miller makes coors, coors been supporting gay rights for years,look it up, lots of less then interesting info about how they fund pride parades and such. Also look up millers all women brewers woke add against men. Time to toss all your millers brother.

Superb review, Jow! I really like the American version of PBR (contract brewed by Miller) you enjoyed. Get this- In Canada, our current version of PBR is brewed and marketed under license by Sleeman in Guelph, Ontario, which itself is owned by Sapporo from Japan, and the can says brewed by, "Stroh Canada." Not quite as tasty as the US version but "ok" in my opinion

I have always preferred Pabst in a bottle (really any beverage) and must be cold. There is a bar/restaurant in Keeanee, IL, 30-miles from me with an original beautiful Pabst supplied back-bar. There have been many attempts to purchase it, sad if it ever disappears.

I've always enjoyed bottled beer more, its just a pain fridge space wise at home, and recycling glass sucks :/

I've come full circle from the more expensive brews (which I really enjoy) all the way back home to PBR. Its just a great, well, cheap beer. Usually get a 12 for just under $9.

I gotta say, back in college I had two buds, one from Arizona (coors light) and his roomie from Boston (miller lite) and when we would hang I was the off guy cause they'd make me drink one then the other, back to back; and it killed my mood! PBR and Miller High Life are interchangeable with each other. Around here, PBR availabilty comes and goes but together, its ok.

I knew it was wrong. Pabst actually has hop notes. I'm a craft drinker. Grew up on Miller, Bud, and Busch. Just recently grabbed some PBR tall boys on sale. I said OMG I can taste hops and not corn syrup. Now I'm hooked. 🍻

You can always tell which one with the Champaign of Beers because it leaves a thick ring of head on the glass. None of the other macros do the same (or at least to the same extent).

How is there sweetness in these beers if they have zero grams of sugar?

Im guessing it’s the alcohol that gives the beer the sweet taste? Or the corn (if used)? Alcohol is created by yeast eating the sugar in the wort so maybe it’s that? I’m not a brewer or scientist when it comes to these things, haha. I just drink em 🍻

I'm pretty new to the beer scene lol. My tastes aren't sophisticated at all lol. I bought 2 PBR pints for $2.50 yesterday. I've never tried it before. Man it tastes really good to me. Joe both of them is now brewed in Canada, but some folks prefers MHL US version.. while PBR Canada is 4.9 % Abv

I like miller and honey brown beers lol. They are light in taste and touch. Bud light and Olde English for example are two very offensive beers I think lol.

this is always a tough one indeed , i absolutely love miller high life and have for nearly 40 years but PBR is an excellent beer , and so is schlitz , im so glad PBR revived schlitz beer , i'll probably always be loyal to miller tho , its just a damn good classic beer

I don't believe it! I think PBR is on the sweeter side as well. BevMo didn't have any Miller Lite so I picked up High Life in bottles and it's tasting pretty good.

These both were my go to cheap beer of choice. Recently it’s been Bud Light sadly. Just side by side Budweiser and Bud light tasted best and were easiest to drink

PBR all the way for me. It's my beer of choice. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy a good Guinness stout too, but PBR is my absolute favorite beer to drink especially on a hot summer day like today. I am always stocked up. On my 2nd tall boy while watching this great video. Lol

Only will let you down if it's in a glass bottle for too long. Fresh glass bottles are great, but I've had a few when they're past due and it isn't the best. Cans hold up longer, but the appeal of the glass is good

I noticed these cheap beers dont go down ..they just balloon my stomach and make me feel all bloated n shit. Expensive beers dont do this. When i was younger i would handle cheap beer now im 27 i think my body is starting to deny it . .not good

That’s interesting. I feel it’s the opposite for me. I can drink 4-5 IPAs and feel heavy, and drink an 18 pack of ML and not feel anything. I guess we’re all different like that 🍻
