Our English-language interview with Blind Channel's lead singers Joel Hokka and Niko Moilanen. They explain that their Eurovision 2021 song "Dark Side" carries an uplifting message about living life to the full - even during tough times or when you feel like an outcast. They also discuss how the pandemic encouraged them to throw themselves into Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2021 - Finland's Eurovision selection - and react to topping the Finnish charts and going viral on Spotify. That's probably because a lot of modern metal is, as producer Glenn Fricker likes to say, "EDM with distorted guitars" 😂. Especially when it's home-produced, like my own stuff, and therefore needs to rely on drum samples.

I have been once in Oulu , its much darker place than middle- Europe :) Good place to get inspiration. I hope they make a music video there.

Actually Oulu is very beautiful in summer so green with parks and forests bloom full of flowers. And the gorgeous Oulu river and the Gulf Bothnia. Mid night sun. Loads to do in summer. But yes durin winter it is dark and gloomy and kind of sad and nothing to do there. Visit Oulu in summer and you will fall in love with the area there.

I would like to thank you for the good interview you made, also for direct questions made about lyrics and clarify those. I am amazed and shocked and sad as well at the rubbish what they talk on some other channels. It's almost like a witch hunt based on ignorance. I would not be wondering even if Next there would be a blame Elena Tsagrinou having sex with the devil, 😂 both in Cyprus song and Finland song are only a metaphore.
