That thing about Rockhoof magically beefing up is kind of odd, seeing as the comic that was about him was entirely focused on the training he underwent to keep his physical fitness. I suppose it's possible that this strange aspect of the story may have just been due to the legend becoming distorted over time.

The story about Flash Magnus is definitely something Roman/Greek inspired. By the way, "Magnus" is latin and means "The Great". So Flash Magnus basically means "Flash the Great". I don't know about any Roman nor Greek mythology depicting dragons, but the armour they were wearing reminds me of Roman officers (Centurions) and Greek hoplites. (Correct me if I'm wrong or fill me in if there are any stories about dragons).

So we finally get to see the Eastern Unicorns that Twilight mentioned in The season 5 premier in animated form. Does the horn shape suggest that Sombra is an Eastern unicorn?

Morgrimm and yet the eastern unicorns aren't who Meadow Brooke was part of. Gotta love those minor continuity errors that you just wanna ignore. Then again, maybe history screwed up and she was remembered as a unicorn because the scholar who wrote about her was racist towards Earth Ponies, so tried to make unicorns look better by giving them the credit an Earth Pony should've gotten

This was a pretty fun episode; I love the lore that they brought with this episode it was a lot of fun. Also nice continuity there with the last time they went camping, that's always fun to see. Rarity's story was probably my favorite, which is weird since Rainbow is my favorite character; but Rarity's story just resenated with me in a certain way. But Rainbow's story was definitely my second favorite story. Applejack's story was fun as well, but I just personally prefered Rarity and Rainbow's story myself. But all three were good. Also the moments with Rainbow and Scootaloo were just adorable, loved them! Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.

Thoughts from this episode: 1. Norse, Chinese, Roman. Cool! (Edited from Greek and Japanese) 2. World building 3. Timeline plotpoint 4. What did that shovel pony hit! 5. HOW DO SHADOWS WORK!! 6. Unicorns can't use earth magic or it drains them of life! Then Twilight using magic to grow the crops in ep 11 WAS EARTH PONY MAGIC!!! Earth pony magic explained!! 7. Young Torch?! Cool! Then he must be serving his time's dragon lord. 8. Cute bonding moments between "sisters"! 9. Dang it, was wishing Vincent was FLASH Magnus. Would have made that too perfect. 2nd watch: 1. Wait, lava doesn't flow that fast! And looking closer, he should have gotten burned! 2. AHHHH!! Twilight dancer flashback! Whyyyyy!! 3. That cave must be really unstable if it took I kick to create a collapse. How are they not dead yet? 4. Wait what? Oh! Earth pony magic allows you to light fires really quickly. Ok! And, by the Nordic and Chinese stories, we know that earth ponies can handle and control the magic of the earth without destroying themselves in the process. Mistybrook (thats her name, I think) was basically an earth pony for the rest of her life, earth magic flowing out of her constantly. However, it destroyed her connection to other magic. 5. Wow, more hate on spike. And after a spike episode too! 6. Ok, enchanted item recap from this ep. We have the rock of strength, used to help the greeks and probably ties into a thor relic. And we have the shield of fire resistance, probably tieing back to Titus? God of IDK. 7. Did Flash just make a hoverboard? Fire surfboard? Whatever it is, Cool! 8. Wait, the cave goes down and water flows down. But it is said they were heading towards falls and when the arrive, the falls are in a clearing. So does this mean they were hiking up a mountain just to go down it? In retrospect, the falls could be in a clearing in a secluded part of the forest but the falls are in perfect view of the skies.... This makes no sense!! Big deal of this episode: EARTH PONY MAGIC!! Unicorns who use earth pony magic are drained of their life force and pernamently radiate earth magic. Only an alicorn's power can stop from being consumed by said use of magic, explaining ep 11. Her flowing mane also explains that a high abundance of magic can affect how a mane works.

Well Rarity Dash, about Rock Hoof magically getting strong; have you forgotten what show this is? Humans magically get ponified, with speed, strength, diamond shields to name a few, magically turning into elders or babies, streets magically gold, Discord himself. This shouldn't be strange anymore, as it's no surprise when it happened to Applejack. Sorry for the criticism.

Lighting a fire when you are trapped in a cave isn't a smart move, you run out of air if there is no other way out. Mistmane was easily the best. The others neened a bit more time (instead of cutting back to camping so often), expecailly Rockhoof who neened to speak and we neened to hear him bullied to emphasize (and some explanation for his powers). But I loved this episode so much anyway. I have not red the Legends comics yet since I wanted to see them on screen first but I will now.

The curved horn in Rarity's story are from the traditional unicorn design, before the straight horn became the mainstream. It basically signify that the story was before their time.

4:30 ya know, even with season 7 finished, we still haven't gotten any explanation for that. We still have no clue why the Fliders left the Luna Bay area. Maybe we'll get a hint or full explanation in season 8, but I doubt it. They certainly weren't mentioned in the leaked episodes at least. Ps I love your new channel icon. So cute 😉

The camp stories are clearly not Myths or legends but their ancestors. You got applejacks story about a farmer which is honest about never giving up and even sacrifices his own life to help the village. You have rarity's story about the most beautiful sorceress that gives away her beauty to help others really showing her generosity. And then you have rainbow dashes story where a strong, fast flier sacrifices his life to save his friends, really showing his loyalty towards his friends. Also Plane noises.

I don't think we've ever seen Rarity teleport. If you go way back to the start of season one, Twilight was only just learning how to do it when she moved to Ponyville and she's a magic student. Rarity probably doesn't know the spell at all.
