Strangely the other 5 of the Mane 6 are missing. Without any explanation at all. In fact, being who they are, there really shouldn't be any reason for all 5 to miss the meeting with an important figure like Ember. And they wouldn't leave Spike in the cold like this when he Cleary needs them. This is definitely something Pinkie Pie wouldn't miss because it pretty much is a party.

This was a weird episode just because I didn't know how to feel about it. I did enjoy it, but I just felt kind of weird about it. However the ending made up for it big time, it was a great ending. And I do like that Spike is becoming more and more mature, although I'm still surprised that Spike was called by the map; that really surprised me. (Still hoping for the CMC's to get called). Also I loved that Ember made the joke about Starlight and Twilight seeming similiar, I thought it was hilarious. And Starlight was great in this episode, I loved her little comments that she did; so funny. Spike gets better and better with each episode/lesson he learns. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.

It has been established for two and a half seasons now that only the ones called go on the mission. Here's my opinion: Hasbro has made Spike too good of a character over the years when he's guiding others, so if they applied the same aspects when he's in the spotlight, he would be the closest character to represent perfection, so in order to balance out, probably, the biggest flaw in the game, they made him..... cringe worthy in his episodes. That's just my take on it. Not all of them are that way, fortunately. There are some in which he isn't doing things out of instinct.
