A fitting send-off. The Ring symbolizes (according to some scholars) the burdens of life and all we can do is continually say to ourselves "I'll keep the Ring full of sorrow. I'll keep the Ring till I die. Your friend's journey is complete; she dines with Elves!

@nutv_21858 жыл бұрын
They can be synonyms as in acutely distressing, sharp, painful, mordant. No?
@oussamaokbi8 жыл бұрын
its also implied that pungent is used to illustrate distress caused by something bad/repulsive. its the gut feeling you get after smelling a carcass not the heartclunching feeling you get when you listen to this song.
@WarbossR0kt00fSant0s6 жыл бұрын
Probably since some of the lyrics of the song is based on Frodo's thoughts regarding his quest to destroy the One Ring, and of the pain, hardships and sufferings he endured while going to Mordor.

I don't undermie what the others went through, but my personal opinion is that it'd be a pity to try and not understand Sauron's sacrifices through all of this ordeal.

Back when I was 10~12ish I used to search songs using Shareaza. My father bought the trilogy of the LoTR and I was really into medieval and mystic things. So I started to search the LoTR's soundtracks, mainly the King of the Golden Hall. As I didn't quite knew how to search anything properly I searched for anytihng related to Lord of the Rings. Blessed was that day that I bumped on this song, my first Blind Guardian's song.

Loved how Hansi introduced this song at one of their concerts I went to. "Now we go to the land of Mordor to peer behind the shoulder of Sauron..." Topped only by how he introduced "Fly": "I'm going to tell you a story about Peter Pan" and "Nightfall": Can't remember the exact words, but he explicitly said "Valinor", so we all knew what was coming and cheered. He just looks at us and says "It's not a happy song".
