It's been really interesting to see what choreographers like Willdabeast and CJ bring to 1million. I feel like a lot of 1million dances (and maybe its the korean style hip hop dancing in general) are very step-step-step and all of the members excel at that but then when it comes to this type of style, they really have a lot to learn.

I notice a drastic difference in style between Korean dancers here and American dancers. Korean dancers are softer in their moves and like to stay tight with their choreography. American dancers hit harder, show more expression and individual style.
@Chloe36106 жыл бұрын
for some reasons...the korean ones have a specific style in dancing but american ones, they really have their own style, usually korean ones prefer the fluidity and im sure american ones side with the power they put in
@user-mo1zj1tl3b5 жыл бұрын
eolhc I saw a lot more fluidity in CJ than the other dancers
@mrt4452 жыл бұрын
Is this a joke! CJ was a lot smother, fluid and tighter than all of them. The Korean dancers weren't even close to his level. They still have a lot of catching up to do to be as good as American dancers.

Even though the 1M dancers did not do as well as they usually do in this particular video, I think it's important that we see they don't excel in everything they try the first time. And as students of dance and students of life, we are always going to be making mistakes and learning no matter how good we get at something. Food for thought.

Fucking called this months ago...WOOOOO! It's really accomplished choreographers like CJ that show just how much technique and diversity that 1Million has yet to learn.
@kioki908 жыл бұрын
+Kyle Davis i have to agree, imo they're more focused on the technical aspect of the choreography. sometimes i cant help but compare them with the japanese dancers, there's something lacking, i just cant point out what.
@missmoney19968 жыл бұрын
yes! I love them but I've always felt their dancing compared to the American choreos e.g. wildabeast and tricia and even the Japanese(the twins, ami and the other that came to 1million) was basic
@magi01208 жыл бұрын
+wiz i have the same feeling it's just something missing
@coldzzzzxxxx8 жыл бұрын
he is repetitive too. but here and there 1m fucks things up. and Parris Goebel and her girls are the best ha! Tricia and wildabest have there moments too. But yall really need to stop acting like all the choreographers you mention are all that cause they have there fair share of noting special. They might have better freestyling, but koosung did great with his in twerking like miley. Then you have to take in account the level if dance the students are at looking at the choreographers solo vids on their on channel (lia kim dirty vibe, mary jay lee mtbl) and i know koosung can do more. Yall just sound like some pricks thinking they know how it is. If you cant subscribe to multiple channels without appreciating what one of them has to offer and putting them down, unsubscribe. fyi the japanese choreographers were the same 1m shit, dont lie

I'm a Sori fan but I gotta respect Mina. I mean among all the choreographers, I think she's the usual one I see in others' class - learning like the rest of us. It shows how she loves the very art of dance. Learning different styles and incorporating it in hers and sharing it to others. Good job Mina! :)

i love it when foreign or independent instructors like wildabeast,Cj and his partner (who is amazing btw. arguably better than cj for this choreo) and Assall crew crew come to 1million. I love 1M but lets be honest, they lavk diversity in dance style except for a few standout (like Lia Kim) choreographers. Its not to say that they suck but they pretty much are one dimensional dancers who are barely able to intepret the song (might be due to the fact that most songs are english) and match the dance style in an expressionist manner. Thus they focus on the technicality of dance making thier moves repetitive, basic lacking in inspiration (needless to say they are still entertaining af and show precision and skill which makes me love them). This is why when they get fresh diverse styles, they all seem to struggle. This may also be attributed to their focus which is dance tailored for the common dancer (this is not necessarily a bad thing). However, because of that focus, they are stuck in a limbo where they never surpass thier limitations and evolve. This staunts thier growth as dancers since they can only get so good. In all, i really love 1M and will always support. when i go to South Korea, ill be joining them for dance sessions but i hope their consolidate this roadblock. A few suggestions might be to tier their technical levels into class systems without prohibition of low level dancers from taking classes though. or encourage members who don't choreograph to do so once a while, or find more inspiration from dance videos from around the world learning and challenging themselves.

Sorry if this reply is a little too sudden lol. I get notified on my phone (cannot not check and respond) but yeah i agree with what you say about how some people may think they have become softer... I personally think its not them going softer but getting a little bit pampered by the sudden fame and attention from locals and internationals. It somehow feels now like they are pressured into putting out content both digitally(videos) and physically (classes). This makes anyone no mattee who you are, burned out and thats bad. They no longer post the long tutorials anymore and they are toning down the dance routines for the new comers which is not bad but i do believe this is why they need the tier system for the beginners and fans who just go to watch their favourite noona and oppas dance and then the more difficult routines for those who have the intensity and fire for dancing. Just my 2 cents.

You know I was thinking something on the same lines. One million has so many great dancers but appear to struggle or have something missing when doing this style. Hope to see more choreographers like CJ, Boy Boi and Wildabeast in the future to mix it up. It can only make everyone, both east and west get better.
