Ah, I see ya noticed the shorter screentimes of the season 2 shorts as well. Honestly, can't help but worry 'bout it and seein' end up like... Spongebob SquarePants. *shudders*. I pray I'm wrong in this regard. Oh, and y'know what's got me ponderin' 'bout this franchise? Where are the one-appearance characters now? Y'know, Juniper Montage, Wallflower Blush, Vignette Valencia, Starlight Glimmer, Gloriosa Daisy. And especially, where's the Sirens now? I dunno 'bout you, but it's high those 3 and the _original_ Twilight Sparkle made a comeback. Preferably in an way that makes sense! But that's just me. Also, I'm curious as to how you'll react to, say, the other EqG films before Legend of Everfree. Particularly the first two. And the Rainbow Rocks shorts for the matter. Not gonna lie, this franchise has really grown on me over the last couple years or so.

Here are my highlights: Reboxing with Spike 0:56 "Paw pals." 0:57-1:02 Yes, Spike had started his own KZbin unboxing series. Also, now the whole world knows talking dogs exist. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 1:07-1:11 "#PuppySelfCare." Why is Equestria Girls so full of pandering these days? Also, Applegeek's reaction. 1:22-1:31 Spike finds a fancy frisbee fascinating - try saying that five times fast. 1:26 Yes, really. 1:29 You'll find out soon enough. 1:30 That smile. Also, those gems are obviously a reference to Rarity. 1:35-1:41 Spike finds dog slippers and shows them of in a fancy way. 1:41-1:50 Spike is excited...about a sock. He gives it a 40 gem rating. Also, Applegeek's face and reaction. 1:49 Spike drooling. 1:53-2:04 Spike finds a dirty, smelly, unwashed, ankle sock heavenly. 2:05-2:16 Twilight confronts Spike about spending $200 on a box with a dirty sock in it. Tank doesn't get anything. 6:18-6:21 This does make you think of that, doesn't it? 6:23-6:28 It may just be a plushie. But it's totally within Pinkie's character to treat it like it's a real pet. 6:30 That sick face. 6:31-6:34 It seems so. 6:40-6:45 Pinkie always has a spare cupcake at the ready. 6:45-6:50 The cupcake lands on Tank's shell. Unfortunately, it's too high for him to reach. 6:51 Those look good. 6:52-6:54 That face. 7:00-7:13 Applegeek freaks out because he thinks the sprinkles will explode. They sort of do, but not in a destructive way. Just messy. 7:10-7:12 Tank on his back. 7:19-7:21 Tank finally gets a bite of something. 7:25-7:29 I'm pretty cookies aren't healthy for tortoises. But I'll let it slide this time. 7:32-7:37 I think the extra feature on MLP Movie DVD was better. 7:39-7:44 Now you're getting it, Applejack. Street Magic with Trixie. 7:47-7:51 Even Trixie has her own short. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 7:50 Nice outfit, Trixie. I'd say it's better than your wizard outfit. 7:52-7:56 Good question. 7:59-8:05 Spike does not want to be here. 8:05-8:08 Spike is afraid for his life. 8:10 Those kids are actually human versions of the fillies we see in Cheerilee's class. 8:12-8:18 A purple aura? It's Twilight. Applegeek gets it. 8:27-8:29 Yep, there she is. Looking smug about it. 8:32-8:36 Trixie gets her picture taken. 8:36 Well that short was...short. It wasn't even two minutes long. Overall, these were some pretty good shorts. I do like the vlogging theme, as Applegeek did, but it does feel like pandering at times. Anyway, it's not just these shorts that are being released, but Friendship is Magic ones, too. I'll be looking forward to Applegeek's reaction to those in the future. Until then, stay tuned.

I've seen the animatic, and honestly, I prefer the finished product. What we got was focused directly on Trixie, and in the animatic, Pinkie was kinda stealing the show. Yeah, I wish it had been longer, but I liked it for what it ended up being. Trixie deserves some time in the spotlight without being upstaged by one of the Mane 6.
