I wonder if they bring him back. In the comics, Donald was killed in some incident and they put the little part of him they could find into a cyborg and *never told him* . So, in the comics continuity, he eventually finds out that he's a cyborg and starts using his abilities to the fullest. What happened here *could* be a version of the incident that caused his transformation into cyborg.

@@Fulgur14 Brit isn't but his books didn't sell well so they probably won't see any potential in him, could go either way. Tech Jacket's book first ran in Invinicible's book starting in issue 71 and ending in 80(they skipped a couple times) chapter by chapter and he's integral to the plot, plus he's basically outer space iron man so that has tons of appeal obviously. Wolf-Man is specifically a spin off so he has potential too. I think it would be interesting if they expanded on Capes, Inc since they always just felt kind of there.

I just realized Nolan could have lied that the reason he killed the guardians of the globe was because he was blackmailed and depending on how he tells the story Debi might have believed him but he choose not to lie. Likely because at the moment he did not have the heart to lie to her anymore and most likely he was planning his conquest soon and so lying would be pointless

And him leaving was entirely based on him being willing to do that, she's definitely one of the top five, but I think Samantha, aka Atom Eve has to take the top spot for me. Girl hands out pretty solid advice throughout the show, manages to sort herself out with her atrocious home situation with the sorry excuses for parents she got cursed with. She doesn't settle nor let Rex stay in her personal life after the shit he pulled despite being pushed in that direction by the aforementioned parents, actually goes and makes the right decision about what to do with her life, which is to stop wasting time in schools that wont actually teach someone with her abilities what she can or should do, but goes out there and finds out herself as she is uniquely able to do. And she even tries to be there for Mark and such even when he's too hung up on his own angst to take good advice, as is usual for him. She's just awesome cause who hasn't been in her shoes? (as in being stuck with a problematic situation and not knowing what to do or who to turn to) And yeah she's pretty and powerful and all that... But if this show teaches us anything its that having great power doesn't mean all your problems just go away.

I've rewatched this show several times now and it really is amazing how well written *most* of the characters are, I've really grown to appreciate Deb and Cecil in particular on repeat watches. Cecil is the GOAT, definitely one of my favorite "government agents in a superhero world" type characters. He really nails the "do what needs to be done" but in a really empathetic way and you can tell what he does really does eat away at him and he still cares but he does it anyway. I also feel like Deb in a lesser franchise would sorta just be reduced to a damsel in distress sort of thing and not get much development but she's so likable and her experience of discovering the truth about her husband is so sympathetic, and she also takes no shit from Nolan even though she knows he could snap her like a twig.

Amber was angry Mark wasn't spending enough time with her because he was off saving people's lives. She was also angry he didn't tell her his secret identity she figured out for herself, but never mentioned or hinted that she knew. Then got mad at him for prioritizing saving countless people's lives over getting to their dates on time. Never mind the fact that he was going out of his way to get gifts or trying to do other thoughtful things for her to make up for it as she herself said. Or that he was almost killed a few days ago, and was in the hospital for around 6 days. Amber had every right to be mad that he was late when she didn't know he was a superhero, but as soon as she figured it out, and still wanted to get mad at him for not being on time, she lost most empathy she had from me. Keeping his secret doesn't mean he doesn't trust you, that's not the reason superheroes keep their identities a secret from their loved ones most of the time, it's just a way to try to keep them a little bit safer(both you and the superhero). And probably a fear of rejection. So keeping information that could put her in danger a secret, all the while making sure to buy her nice gifts, leave notes, and doing his best to maintain their relationship and balance a life he's still new to makes him an asshole- because he wasn't ready to tell her yet -but her keeping it a secret that she knew is fine, even though the more responsible thing to do would be to just tell Mark " Hey, I know you're Invincible let's talk about how it's affecting our relationship." That's a five-month relationship at most, and he's been a hero for at most 9 months at this point(I think). She thinks he should be ready to tell her his biggest secret and that he's stringing her along just because he likes her but isn't ready to give up his biggest secret? He wanted to make it to all those dates, it's not his fault villains were attacking. He can't plan for stuff like that. He didn't even tell his best friend, whom he's known for a lot longer, and he was lying to him for just as long. He saw William less than he saw Amber, and William understood just fine. Sure, he's not romantically involved with Mark, but they're still close. I can understand her being mad at being lied to *if* she wasn't also lying through omission about knowing he's Invincible. But she knew for weeks that he was putting his life on the line to protect her and other people, and was still mad that he disappeared to save William and made a point to belittle him publicly for it. Even though she knew and saw that it was Mark getting his ass kicked by the cyborg while he was protecting everyone there. I don't think Amber can handle a relationship with a hero, but the comics handled the relationship better. In the comics, she thought he was involved with drugs, and that's why he was making bad excuses and missing dates. She realized the truth after talking with some friends about him, and they consummated their relationship. Her reasoning that he's making her feel stupid and unimportant kinda goes out the window when he literally does everything he can to keep you happy, and all you do is make crappy jokes and complain, the stupid thing is especially dumb since she knows he's a superhero and that the best superhero team on the planet was murdered a few months ago, why wouldn't he be cautious about who he tells? You called him out on his excuses for being late and he bought you an $800 gift to make up for one missed date. How are you feeling stupid or unimportant? Everything is already about you, and your clearly smart enough to figure out his secret identity. Eve showed that she wanted to start a relationship with Mark, but when she saw that he was with Amber, she backed off and even tried to help them stay together. That's someone Mark could realistically have a relationship with, without all the drama that comes with dating a regular person.

I think Amber is completely justified, even if she knew that he was a superhero. Sure, it may explain his actions in always being late, but it's not an excuse for them. Even if going to save people is an objectively better thing to do for humanity, it's not fair for Amber. He chose to be in a relationship with her, this means that he signed up to prioritize her, and if he's unable to do that due to his identity as a hero then he's not ready for that kind of relationship, especially with someone like Amber who made it explicitly clear multiple times that it upsets her. It's completely within her right to be angry at him for not showing up, even if she knows the reason, because he's choosing his life as a hero over her, which isn't fair to her.

@@hungrybeakstudios472 Sure, but it was pretty obvious with a more local hero from back home, suddenly showing up far away from home to deal with some random monster attack that appeared literally 30 seconds prior. Its as sus as the MCU Spiderman showing up in places where he obviously wouldn't have been able to be, if he hadn't been on a school trip there already. Anyone with a bit of intuition would put two and two together. By doubling down and lying to her when she tried to confront him over it, she got fed up because she was tired of being lied to. Mark kept saying he would do better, and that he wouldn't keep breaking promises and going back on his word, but he kept doing it. He needed to stop making empty promises and end a relationship that he knew he couldn't commit to. Amber tried ending it when she realized she wasn't a priority for him, and Mark should have just accepted that and moved on. Instead he kept dragging out a dying relationship.

All she did was get more and more pissed off when he continued keeping his secret identity a secret. She was in no way entitled to the truth after a just a couple months of going out. Even if she were, he decided on his own to tell her the truth without knowing that she already figured it out. Bit she still had to keep playing the victim card. It wasn't Mark that kept dragging out a dying relationship, it was her. Especially after she went right back to him after the whole omni-man thing. All Mark did wrong was think he could manage his time better than he could.

The Amber situation: If she knew Mark was Invincible and is upset that he lied, then the situation at the College makes her into a manipulative hypocrite; either that or this is a very blatant plot hole. It would have been far more justified if she didn't know until Mark told her and still decided to end the relationship. Rudy (Robot): Sacrificing yourself so that a version of yourself can have a happier existence. That moment was beautiful and tragic. Mark: He's been dumped and he just saw his dad kill one the greatest heroes and president, but at least he beat that monster; the boy needed a win.

Amber's not entitled to Mark's secret identity. It's like going out with someone for a few months and expecting them to give you their SSN or credit cards. It's important information that's best not shared unless you're 100% comfortable doing so. Remember that Mark's only been a superhero for at most 9 months, and the best superhero team in the world was murdered just around when he started, and his dad, the most powerful man in the world, was put in the hospital as well. Mark is well within his rights to want to keep his identity a secret. People are capable of having a serious relationship without knowing all the secrets of each other. That's why I much prefer what Amber from the comics thought. She thought he was involved with drugs, which is a pretty good explanation for the bad excuses, missing dates etc.. there's also a difference between what he wants to do, and what he needs to do. A secret identity is important. It is kept hidden from their enemies and the general public to protect themselves from legal ramifications, pressure, or public scrutiny, as well as to protect their friends and loved ones from harm secondary to their actions as superheroes. It also keeps loved ones from worrying about their safety or whether or not they might slip up and call them by their real names ect. The only way Mark screwed up was by trying to date a regular civilian who cares more about whether or not she was lied to then if Mark was injured

I saw some fan art a while ago for Omni-man vs Homelander vs Superman and there were a ton of comments discussing the odds. Most people agreed that Homelander would be a goner (I haven't seen The Boys, so I don't know). But they also agreed that (unless there was some kryptonite), Superman would be able to beat Omni-man. Sharing some amber hate, she has shown a world revolves around me, I help people, and I control things attitude the entire season. Despite all the times he was obviously hurting, she belittled him or worse. She knew and couldn't control his choices, so she played the victim. She only went back to him to be the bigger person in control after the father fiasco just like when she saved him from a bully by threatening the shit out of him with life ruining stuff. She acts like she cares, but it seems to be a front to get her what she wants like prospects or people's praise/benefit of a doubt.

She didn't sign up for a relationship built on lies. Mark lied to her over and over for over six months, even after being given multiple chances to prove he was serious about her. Also, 99% of the time a friend or family member knows a secret identity, it is beneficial.

I think they don't want know honestly, in another context on why they complain which is the clone and who is the original is more of a "haha you died first, I lived long enough to set up a cloning mechanism to create your sorry ass therefore I'm smarter and more superior". In the comics, the real original died by the hands of his own clone for testing him like a slave.

@@sebastiengendron6427 Not sure if that was the real original, but basically there's a situation where one of the twins is horribly disfigured and the other is not. This makes it easy to know that the "clean" one is the clone, and the disfigured one becomes drunk with lording it over him... so the clone poisons him and makes his own clone with the original "don't know who is the clone and don't *wanna* know" method.

I always found dumb people´s reaction (and Invincible's) when seeing Omni-man kill The Immortal. Like, you see him attack Omni-man first, you see Omni-man trying to help another hero with a huge monsted that you know it´s dangerous, and then you go "surprise pickachu face" when you see Omni-man kill him??? In any case, you should go "hey, why did the Immortal became evil?"

There is also Immortal yelling about Omnimans betrayal, making it pretty clear he was responsible for the guadians deaths. More importantly Cecil made a point in episode 2 about how they normally hide the gory parts of the job.
