The “popsicle scene” is actually an important scene. It represents an innocent time with those three characters before their friendship ended in tragedy and their lives spiraled out of control. One was basically erased from existence and another was absorbed into someone else. There’s more to it than that, but it’s still a really sad story.
@JH248215 жыл бұрын
It's for me still one of the saddest stories in this series. The injustice and unfairness just hurts, a lot. Three people who just wanted to be friends, but were constantly manipulated by others. Two Nobodies and a Replica: One lies to protect his friends, one leaves to find answers, and one fades from existence.

To answer you question a bit, only the main installments got new songs as they were not on handheld systems. Kingdom Hearts 1,2, and 3 were on the main playstation systems. The others were on phone, gamboy advanced, DS, Vita. Funny enough, the one you said was more cinematic, the music, was from Kingdom Hearts 1. It would play if you were on the main menu for too long.

It is definitely one of those games where it's for you or not. So if you really not interested I suggeusted not playing. Metal Gear Solid is nowhere near the level of Kingdom Hearts. For example MGS: Acid and Acid 2 are their own separate universe thing, the NES games Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Snake's Revenge are non-canon only the MSX titles are canon, and the PSP games are canon but they are prequels to MGS 1 and sequels to MGS 3 while 5 being a prequel to 1 and sequel to 3 and the PSP games. Order is all messed up but at least story wise they are self contained enough. You could play MGS 1, 2 and 4 and get a complete story and if you want backstory go 3, Portable Ops (main story campaign only), Peace Walker and 5.

In fact alot of things from KH inspired things from RWBY like Marluxia with the Scythe and the Roses surrounding him when he moves and attacks, the Volume 2 opening where everyone is falling, and alot of the designs and concepts for the Grimm. I’ve never played any of the Kingdom Hearts games myself. However after watching a lot of play through videos I’ve noticed there are a lot of games that makeup this franchise. Lots of them have stuff that either overlap between the major numbered games, or precede it chronologically. It’s one convoluted mess of an epic story. Yet they highlight the key story moments at the beginning of the game to reflect on what’s happened so far and refresh your memory in case you’ve forgotten everything. Kingdom Hearts 3 is the most recent game, and I happen to like the song “Face my Fears” by “Hikaru” “Utada”. Plus this game supposedly ties up all the loose ends of story elements introduced to the games. p.s- I think something happened when you download the files some of the songs seemed to be cut out except for some of them. Just felt a little strange so it’s not just you. Enjoyed you commentary on this video, look forward to your next reaction.

It's odd because Disney doesn't do merch or anything and really I have no idea how much money they are making off this...It is one of the oddest collab games EVER...Yet it does work...Granted the first game, the ones after that get a little confusing and too much.

Kingdom hearts is one of those games where just watching the intros will make you think its an acid trip that rehashes all the same stuff; and having the story explained to you makes you think the game is an acid trip that wasn't well thought through. It's really a game you would only understand by playing it yourself. I should know, I was pressured into getting the full collection on PS4 when two of my friends were practically forcing me to get KH3. I decided to get the full collection because I'm not some idiot that just jumps into the most recent game of a series I've never played. Since then I cannot stand watching people try to explain Kingdom Hearts, it really is something that needs a few hours and some serious note taking to convey in any sort of sensible manner and I still see those people skipping important bits and miss-communicating some if not most of the story for the sake of saving time. It's a series that should be played to understand. If you ever decide to actually go for it (which judging by your words and reaction you won't, but I'm still going to say this anyway) play all of them and play them in the order of release, not in the order that they transpire. People say to play it in a specific order all the time but it just leaves you lost and confused the whole way through, you'd only be hurting yourself by doing it that way if you did do it.

The gameplay is usually very fun and the story while confusing at times has managed to make me a weeping mess often. I don't know, there's just something undeniably charming about it and it's clear that the people who make it put a lot of love into it. It's definitely not for everyone though and we're not above saying that the premise is beyond goofy and it had no right to work as well as it did.

I’d say my top 5 openings are: 1) Kingdom Hearts 2 2) 0.2 3) Dream Drop Distance 4) Birth By Sleep 5) Kingdom Hearts 3 (don’t really like it that much tbh but all the others are trash lmao)

Uh...wouldnt this be spoiling him about the game itself?

Now that he watched that, he now understands the whole plot of the game.

Man. Why'd KH2's song have to go quiet? It's a really cool song and I was looking forward to seeing your reactions to both the audio and visuals combined.

Rarity dash I just watch this video and just to let u know that the second to last opening was showing all of the other kingdom hearts games

I don't know where you got those openings but it seems as though the sound was removed so you... Didn't really react to them.

@RarityDash, as someone interested in becoming a KZbinr I'd like to know, what are your recommendations for getting started? What programs should I use, any particular mic and cam recommendations?

It's really weird to see you laugh whenever the popsicle scene comes up. I'm used to see people cry when seeing that, the laughter looks kinda alien for someone with context.

Hey, Raritydash, I was wondering if you could react to the Wakfu series. It’s a French anime with Season 3 now on Netflix, though it’s been showing since 2008, I believe. I LOVE the plot and characters, and so I hope you do too!

I do have a suggestion and yes its kingdom hearts related but could you react to Kingdom Hearts 3 review by Caddicarus even if you don't care for Kingdom Hearts I think it would be an good review to react to
@zencyn46825 жыл бұрын
No offense to you RD but this was a really pointless reaction. Openings past the 1st game rely heavily on retreading past events and you understanding the context of the imagery. EDIT: Not that I didn't appreciate the effort you made to enjoy them
