Best line in the series. And I choose to believe it's completely canon. Besides one of the Mane 6 needs to be in a relationship. I mean 4 of the HuMane 7 from EQG are basically in relationships so it's finally time at least one of the Mane 6 from MLP gets one. Hoist the main sailes. FlutterCord is setting sail. This episode was certainly interesting with its Freaky Friday scenario. I actually liked the direction that this episode took with Fluttershy and Angel. The two of them having to face each other’s everyday challenges outside of their own bodies really brought them closer together and in turn helped them gain a mutual respect for what they do on a regular basis, that was a cool topic to cover. I also like how we got to know Angel’s personality with his ability to speak through Fluttershy, he’s quite the character and I liked some of the moments that took place with him filling in for Fluttershy at the sanctuary. Awesome reaction dude, this was a lot of fun!

If you notice at the end, Fluttershy is translating for Angel to the other animals. I don't think he can talk to other animals, Fluttershy is LITERALLY the only one that he can talk to.

Is anybody else bothered by Fluttershy trying to convince obligate carnivores to eat a vegetarian diet? That would slowly poison them because they literally cannot survive on that sort of diet. It doesn't meet their nutritional requirements. I can only pray that the rules of biology in Equestria are somehow different, otherwise Fluttershy clearly doesn't know that much about animals despite loving them so much.

Regarding your theory on why Fluttershy retained her Stare ability, even when she lost the ability to talk to other creatures: "Perhaps that's more of a unique mental ability of hers, rather than being something specifically tied to her cutie mark magic..." I think the show itself implied that distinction back when the Stare was first introduced in The Stare Master. _Rarity: "Did you use... 'The Stare' on her?"_ _Fluttershy: "Oh no, I wouldn't. I couldn't! I don't really have any control over it, it just happens. No, I'm just good with animals."_ From this response, we can infer that Fluttershy herself recognized the Stare as a completely separate thing from her animal communication talent. Also, Flutters did not have conscious control over her Stare at first, whereas her ability to understand animals was completely innate. The fact that Fluttershy had to work to develop control over her Stare ability would imply that there must be a mental component to it.

I found this episode to be quite interesting, though i can't really say i liked the Freaky Friday scenario they went with very much, in my opinion Fluttershy and Angel's conflict would of been solved easier if Zecora gave Angel a potion that would of given him the ability to talk, instead of giving them a potion that made them switch bodies...but at least Fluttershy and angel gained a new respect and or appreciation for one another in the end.

Yeah they are so good with continuity I never thought they forgot about abilities like the stare. I think it's just good to not overuse such things. So A+ writing as usual if you ask me. Also as far as Zecora's backstory goes, this may just be personal opinion but I don't really think there is a need to give us backstory for her, although I admit that'd be cool. I DID think we needed to resolve Angel's jerkish behavior, and Fluttershy's over babying of Angel. When this episode started I was hoping it would focus on how Fluttershy tends to overlook how Angel takes advantage of her kindness to an extend. But the direct it did go was perhaps good enough. At least from here on out they will respect each other more.

Awesome! I've been waiting for this. This was such a interesting episode, I loved seeing inside Angel's head and why he acts the way he does, and you know what? The way he is, makes sense. I mean think about it, he's pretty sentient, he's very aware, and yet can't really speak to anyone except for Fluttershy. Before Fluttershy's big character development, she was a huge doormat, but at the same time, she only had him to care about, and now she has the animal sanctuary as well as the school she's teaching at. So now it's harder for him to be able to talk to anyone, because he can't, except for Fluttershy. So yeah, I really loved this episode a lot.

Here are my highlights: 0:50-2:16 Fluttershy holds a predator/prey support group about what can be eaten at the animal sanctuary - and what can't. Angel keeps interrupting. 0:55-1:01 Fluttershy's face. 1:01 Hi Smoky, Soft Paw and Smoky Jr. You're all predators? 1:06 Hi giraffe. 1:16-1:36 Angel pulls the elephant's tail, pokes the ear of a bear and steps on the wolf's tail - almost getting eaten in the process. Fluttershy and Applegeek aren't amused. 1:19-1:21/1:30-1:57 Fluttershy's face. 1:41-1:51 Fluttershy suggests that Angel join their support group so he can teach them "the delights of a carrot-based cuisine." Also, Applegeek's reaction. 1:55-1:59 Applegeek realises he wore the right shirt for his reaction. 2:17-2:31 Angel force-feeds carrots to Sandra the wolf, causing a stampede. 2:31-2:50 Hi Zecora and Dr. Fauna. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 2:52-3:03 Applejack's hat? Why not your hat, Applegeek? Also, this isn't the first time you've worn the right shirt by coincidence. Fluttershy ignores him. 3:50-4:18 Dr. Fauna and Fluttershy think the problem could be with the gecko's diet. 3:54-3:56 Dr. Fauna's face. 4:13-4:15 Well, she was just in a scuffle, Applegeek. 4:13-4:53 Zecora notices Angel Bunny and Fluttershy aren't getting along. Fluttershy doesn't think so. 4:14-4:18 Angel mimicking Fluttershy. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 4:16-4:31/4:36-4:45 Fluttershy's face. 4:31 Angel blowing a raspberry. 4:42-4:49 Applegeek brings out his checkmark - now he uses it for anything he sees that he never realised he wanted. 4:57-5:09 Dr. Fauna is astounded by how much Fluttershy gets done at the sanctuary, while still teaching at Twilight's school. Applegeek says it for me. 5:36-6:01 In exchange for Antoun (the python) promising not to eat Muriel (the baby elephant), Fluttershy feeds him a whole jar of snake treats made to look like chocolate chip cookies. Also, they're vegan; I guess that's another bit of modern culture they've snuck into the show. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 6:03-6:09 Wing hands. Also, Fluttershy's face. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 6:07-6:37 Dr. Fauna and Fluttershy helping Clementine the giraffe and Scout the flamingo. 6:28-6:39 Neck massage. Also, Dr. Fauna's face. Also, that joke and Applegeek's reaction. 6:42-6:51 Fluttershy's face. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 6:54-7:04 Dr. Fauna thinks Angel wants Fluttershy all to himself. Unfortunately, that's not an option. 7:04-7:17 Applegeek says it for me. 7:20-7:46 Angel gets Fluttershy to open up the supply room. He wants some of her concentrated carrot extract. He's not sick, he just likes the taste. Fluttershy isn't happy because that medicine is in short supply. 7:44-7:57 They may have a lot of carrots, Applegeek, but making the extract would be a complex process. Also, Fluttershy's face. 7:46-8:12 Fluttershy and Angel fight. She finally realises they need help. 7:54-8:12 Applegeek pieces things together and thinks he knows what's about to happen. He's almost right. 8:03-8:05 Angel's face. 8:17-8:52 Fluttershy and Angel express their problems with each other. 8:43-8:47 I guess not, Applegeek. Unless it's Fluttershy or another bunny. 8:47-9:23 Zecora gives both Fluttershy and Angel a potion. Applegeek is in such anticipation. 9:22 Hi Raindrops, Cheerilee and Spa pony. Also, Lyra and Bon-Bon having a picnic. 9:29-9:48 Angel sees Lyra and Bon-Bon's picnic and gets an idea. 9:48-10:05 Fluttershy starts to get distracted by her responsibilities again. Angel takes drastic action. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 10:00-10:02 Fluttershy's face. 10:02-10:06 Angel drinks his potion, burps and throws Fluttershy her's. 10:06-10:40 Fluttershy drinks her potion. Which causes them both to switch bodies! Also, Applegeek's reaction - yes, MLP Freaky Friday, indeed. 10:19-10:24 Angel has a voice! Sort of. It's actually Andrea Libman pretending to be him. It's still awesome, though. 10:26-10:28 That bunny scream. 10:32-10:41 Flutter-bunny is freaking out and trying to get help. But she can't speak to anyone anymore. 10:37 Hi Amethyst and Derpy. 10:42 Hi Carrot Top. 10:43-10:45 Angel-shy trying to hop in Fluttershy's body. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 10:46-10:51 Angel-shy likes being able to talk. Also, that face. He's decided to join the support group and help out around the sanctuary. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 21:29 That blush. 21:34-21:46 Fluttershy still promises to make time for Angel, knowing how important it is to him. 21:53-22:04 It turns out Zecora's gecko isn't a gecko. He's a fire lizard. Which explains the smoke and fire it breathes. 22:13-22:31 Dr. Fauna insists that Zecora never pull her Freaky Friday stunt again. Zecora winks. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 22:48-23:26 Applegeek believes Zecora has finally fulfilled her mentor role that was originally planned for her at the start of the series. 23:31-22:49 Unfortunately, Applegeek, I think you're right. Overall, I really liked this episode. For the longest time, Angel has been one of the biggest jerks in the series. Seeing him learn his lesson and change his ways like this felt like the most believable way to redeem his character. It was also nice seeing Fluttershy learn her lesson. And to see Zecora in what might be her last major appearance for the show. Again, it's a shame we won't get that origins episode we've been hoping for. The real highlight was, of course, Fluttershy and Angel switching bodies. Like I said, it's surprising the writers haven't done an episode like this before. I've imaged similar scenarios with different characters, but I never thought they'd do one at this late stage in the series. I guess they were just waiting for the right story to go along with it. Because this one definitely smashed it out of the park. Honestly, I don't have much else to say except Andrea Libman's performance as Angel-shy was class. I'll miss her when the Friendship is Magic ends.

This episode was awesome how three birds one stone 1. Angel Bunny Fluttershy relationship brother and sister dynamic 2. Angel learns his lesson 3. How much was accomplished in 24 minutes is astonishing and MLP is amazing at most of it.

Angel is intelligent,but he is a pet. Fluttershy wants too much from him. And he IS ONE OF HER RESPONSIBILITIES. IT's like Rainbow Dash would yell at Tank for wanting attention when she entered Wonderbolts and he should have known better. The same goes for Applejack work on a farm and being mad at Winona for wanting attention when attention and emotional care is required for a health of animal ! For intelligent animal even more.

I think you got the wrong idea that animals can talk to each other in this universe. Maybe they can a little bit like in real life, but the whole point of that support group was that Fluttershy could translate what one animal was saying for all the others to understand, since they wouldn't normally. Angel can't really talk to other animals or ponies without Fluttershy's help.

Nice co-inky-dink there with the Fluttershy shirt on a Fluttershy episode. Definitely looking forward to the rest of the season. I know some things which I won't say, but.....some of what I kind of knew is apparently......off. Something you noted made me think about something I saw in a different light, a better one. Also gives me food for thought for continuing on past the end of the season.
