Do not underestimate Sans Smirk. He's the straight man to Cheese's wise guy... and straight man is the more important role in a comedy team, he sets up the wise guy to deliver the punchline. In fact, Bud Abbott-widely regarded as the best straight man of all time-was so valued that his partner Lou Costello made sure he (Abbott) got top billing and a 60-40 split of the pay, just to make sure he didn't leave the act.

The reflection period of this video was beautiful. Ive been struggling with finding my life’s purpose now that i’m on my last year of high school & having to figure out what to do afterwards. Hearing you talk about purpose and your definitions between joy and happiness as well as how we often make a mistake in comparing ourselves to other people, was beautifully worded, and I really needed to hear that. I whole-heartedly agree. I enjoy the analysis because it sheds a different light on circumstances in our lives, is thought-provoking, and brings out the lessons in a way that the show couldn't (at least to me). Since I am ridiculed by one of my older brothers for watching a kid's show, Applegeek is one of the reactors I turn to to remind myself why I love this show so much, and I love hearing how he explains the lessons in the episodes. If only my brother was open-minded; maybe then he wouldn't be so quick to say that I'm not supposed to watch MLP.

I think it was the writers justifying why they decided to end Friendship is Magic after this season. Applegeek is caught off guard. 25:28-45:23 Applegeek talks about the difference between happiness and joy, how he's similar to Cheese and Pinkie, and how each of the Mane 7 value their moral compasses over their passions. Overall this was a very interesting episode. As Pinkie clarified herself, she's never really had any major life ambitions. Applejack and Fluttershy arguably didn't either, but that's because Applejack was already where she wanted to be in life (running the farm) and Fluttershy only revealed hers (the animal sanctuary) once she had enough confidence to do so. This story shows that you don't necessarily need to take your passions to professional heights to be fulfilled. I should know, I've been there. Before I left secondary school, I had it in my mind that I wanted to be a professional writer. Then I went to college and it really helped to improve my skills. But then as the tasks got harder and more demanding, I found I wasn't enjoying them as much as I did before. This was because I was writing what others wanted and I couldn't be as creative. I knew then and there that I couldn't get a job in writing or else I'd end up hating it altogether. Now it's just something I do in my spare time and I hope to find success with it in my own way - just like Cheese and Pinkie do with their passions. Also, Weird Al Yankovic was brilliant in this episode and I think it was a perfect conclusion for both his character and Pinkie's. We've still got lots to get through in this second half of the last season. So let's see what Hasbro has in store.

There is something soothing to your voice and how you so openly and honestly react that keeps the simple fun of enjoying animated shows like Ponies alive and kicking. I realized that though I am an older woman with children there is nothing wrong with enjoying my guilty pleasure of My Little Pony at my age, especially with the good people I’ve found at your channel who still let themselves get swept away in a good story that supports healthy friendships and a simple outlook on life. I know it sounds kind of corny, but your channel was on the list of Life’s little blessings I made and I thought you might like to know. It fun to get excited when I hear the little ding go off on my phone for I know what is waiting for me. I pray your life settles down a bit so you can catch your breath and that the Lord gives you peace and comfort in the days you need them. I think the reason why they didn't go all the way with the theme of Willy Wonka-esque for the factory was because it wouldn't have made any sense. If the whole gag factory was colorful and wacky and fun, then Cheese would see the joy from his employees and wouldn't lose his laugh and the writers wanted to make this a story of Pinkie trying to help him getting it back.

We're in the homestretch now guys. There are just 13 episodes to go before Friendship is Magic comes to an end. And the writers are pulling out all of the stops. Case in point: this episode. It features the long-awaited return of Cheese Sandwich (aka Weird Al Yankovic). Here are my highlights: 3:08-3:23 Pinkie must know how to turn invisible. She was clearly not there for anypony to see a second ago. 3:19 That giggle. 3:23-3:49 Pinkie has some incredible news; she's been sent a cupcake! A invitation cupcake! An invitation cupcake to visit Cheese Sandwich's new amusement factory! Also, Applegeek's reaction. 3:26 I said it first, Applegeek. 3:29-3:36 Pinkie, you shake the foundations of our perception every time we see you. Also, her face. 3:49-3:57 Applejack asks an amusing question. It turns out she's half-right. Also, no Applegeek, that's just part of his name. 3:57-4:00 Rarity makes an interesting observation. Also, her and Twilight's faces. 4:00-4:03 There's the checkmark. At this point it's used whenever Applegeek sees something he really likes, not if it's on his wish list. 4:07-4:09 You're right there, Applegeek. 4:07-4:12 Pinkie's face. 4:07-4:39 Pinkie reveals she wants to speak to Cheese about a serious matter. She feels like she doesn't have a life's purpose other than throwing parties. All of her friends have more ambitious goals, which they're experiencing now or aiming for. It's like she's being left behind. Also, Applegeek's reactions. 4:14-4:16 Pinkie's face. 4:23-4:41 Pinkie lists all her friends' ambitions/achievements. She hilariously messes up Applejack's, but quickly corrects it. Also, Applegeek's face and reaction - he has a hat too. 4:31-4:38 Applejack's face. 4:40-4:48 Pinkie, I don't think that's edible. Applegeek agrees with me. 4:52-5:01 Pinkie makes a good point. I do wonder why she didn't ask the CMCs for help, but Cheese is a good alternative considering how similar they are. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 5:01-5:15 Twilight likes Pinkie's idea. But reminds her only she can decide her life's purpose. Pinkie doesn't quite get it. Also, Applepsychic. 5:09-5:13 Pinkie and Twilight's faces. 5:15-5:35 Spike asks if the cupcake invitation is edible. Pinkie admits that she isn't sure, but keeps eating it anyway! She is so strange sometimes. Also, Applegeek's reaction - he makes a good point about rocks. 5:35-5:51 I was thinking the exact same thing. 6:07-6:20 A wide-shot of Pinkie skipping alongside a wall with Cheese Sandwich posters. 6:20-6:25 Pinkie's face. Also, Applegeek's reaction to the title. 6:20-6:49 Pinkie has some trouble with the factory guards. 6:35-6:45 Applegeek says it for me. It won't be the only Willy Wonka reference in this episode. 6:43-6:49 Maybe you should've shown them that first, Pinkie. 6:49-7:00 The guards are impressed that Pinkie has a personal invitation and let her in. Sans is the French word meaning "without". That word in the name of the Comic Sans font means that it's a sans serif (without serifs) font. Serifs in some fonts are those decorative stuff at the end of letter strokes like for example those in the Times New Roman font.
