One little detail I loved about this episode that might be completely coincidental: In one of Starlight's first focus episodes she magically forces Big Mac to speak against his will. In what's probably her last focus epsiode she speaks respectfully to Big Mac about his discomfort when talking to people. Just a nice little thing showing how far she's come.

1:51 It would seem that Pinkie Pie has been quite the influence on her friends that they are taking after her silly, lovable nature. First, it was a big influence for Cheese Sandwich, then Rarity in the Maud Pie episode back in season 6, then Rainbow, who has impersonated all of her friends in the Newbie Dash episode, and now we have Starlight joining in. There is no escape, we will all become Pinkie Pie in some way or another, even after the show ends.

Celestia has proven she is more of a hooves off leadership. She may be head of her school, but more of a director than headmare. She had ono-on-one tutoring with a select few. I still think Sunset was the first attempt at finding a successor, but favored the focus o magic, she lost the connection with her would be subjects. Celestis learned from thqt, and was the reason she sent Twilight to Ponyville. More to it, but Celestia didn't want to see Twilight end up like Sunser did

I hope they didn't kill them. 17:02-18:15 Starlight is absolutely furious at Trixie! I honestly thought this was the end of their friendship. 17:12-17:15 That face and voice! Also, Applegeek's reaction. 17:20-17:28 Trixie, you fanning the flames like this is NOT helping. He loves the idea of working in a school and assures Starlight he doesn't have many responsibilities as Flurry Heart's crystaler anymore. He's hired on the spot. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 21:04-21:10 I'm guessing not physically older. 21:20-21:22 That hug and Trixie's face. 21:23-22:02 Starlight realises Trixie did a great job giving her advice and talking her through the problem. Also, Starlights's face and reaction - I told you Applegeek acted out the ending. Also, his reaction. All in all, this was a great Starlight Glimmer episode. Remembering how she used to be, and seeing the progress she's made since, she really is one of the show's most well-developed characters. She's definitely worthy of being the School of Friendship's new head mare. Maybe not all of her decisions were great. Especially as she ignored early warning signs with Trixie. But she remained professional throughout and found herself a pretty good vice-head mare/stallion in the end. I'm not sure it was plausible making Trixie the new student counsellor either. But it could work out. She and Starlight come from similar backgrounds, and she seems determined to do good by the students. It was also nice to see and hear Octavia and Dr. Whooves again. Anyway, there are three stories to go before FiM's grand finale. Let's hope the build up is as epic as the sendoff.

Dr. Whooves speaks to Yona's parents about how well she adapts. Trixie gets into a shouting match with Grandpa Gruff. And Big Mac struggles to say anything to Silver Stream's father other than "Yep", "Nope" or "Maybe". Guess who the bottom two are again. 9:48-9:53 Yeah, "well enough". 9:57-10:08 Both me and Applegeek can see where this is going. 10:06-10:18 I do believe this is the first time we've heard Dr. Whooves and Octavia speak since Slice of Life. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 10:30-10:34 "Great and Powerful Communicator." Also, Trixie's face. 10:57-11:04 Dr. Whooves face. 11:09-11:23/12:11-12:19 Trixie tries to express how good a student Gallus is, but Grandpa Gruff doesn't care. This contradicts what was implied in the last episode. 11:23-11:38/12:19-12:25 Trixie, even if you are standing up for Gallus, you're pushing things dangerously far here. Also, Applegeek reaction. 11:38-11:40 Starlight's face. 11:38-12:11 Big Mac cracking under pressure. Ah Starlight Glimmer, when she comes in play fun and perfect chemistry with legion of secondary characters are assured, keeping her in the show after reformation has been one of the greatest achievement made by authors, (to think that Glim Glam was considered a poor carbon copy of Sunset Shimmer or a Mary Sue, but she endured such adversities and now is among the best characters in the show, IMHO second only to Princess Luna, because she is Luna). And RIP Phylis, but at least Glim Glam has Sunburst as stallion 'under' her, then it isn't so bad after all the finale for Starlight

I would imagine it would be like saying 1322 BC (or BCE) for us, and it counts downward with each year - so in the pony world, the calendar dividing event is the founding of Equestria - which makes quite a bit of sense, actually.

Well, his original name is actually Time Turner, but the writers gave him the nickname of Doctor Hooves as a nod to the fandom. Though I prefer to call him Time Turner, since I am not into the fanon idea that he is connected to the Doctor Who universe. For me, Time Turner is his own character and is entirely separate from the Doctor in DW.
