good to finally know more about his journey and process. First heard this in '68 when I was 12. Now as a Gospel minister, I can appreciate the prophetic part of "Fire," since it involves burning the extraneous for purity's sake.

I heard about this on Metal Evolution Shock Rock. I love this song. I saw a video of Arthur singing with Hawkwind. That was cool and weird.

Jesus Christ! ARTHUR BROWN is STILL the God of Hell Fire. You have managed to dig up Strangelands! This has seriously hit my head It was the one tape I took with myself when I went off in a ship out the Caribbean. Arthurs Kingdom Come albums can't be understood unless you read Plato's 'Timaeus'... Did you know he was a philosophy student? Have you heard the Prodigy sample of him? He never really wanted to release a single. Jesus, he was kicked out of the 1969 Paris revolution by the communists because they got fed up with him walking round naked and his head dress burned down two mafia owned clubs.. He SANG his way out of jail in Sicily because when the police hauled him in there for being a six foot four brit naked on the beach, he burst into a set of operatic arias HE WAS OPERA TRAINED - and the mafioso who ran the Palermo jail all popped out of their cell windows to demand an encore. The governor just told the cops to get the lunatic out of his jail, he was running a prison not 'La Scala'.. He just goes on and on... FIRE is the most frequently requested track in UK crematoriums, and my friend just went up the chimney to the strains of that song.

A lot of great bands were one-hit wonders. Give a listen to "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" by Status Quo. A hit here. One & done. But, in England, they dominated the charts years afterwards. Love your site
