Spores were a way to get infected in the game, but for the TV series, they dropped that for various reasons, including to free the actors from needing to wear masks.

28:22 btw i think Marlene (blue shirt) is the only VA from the game to play their live action version of the character. And im not sure but i think besides her only the VA for Joel and Ellie are in here as minor characters

Yeah, Ellie’s VA is her mom in the show, and I think Joels VA gets killed by Ellie, lol it’s kind of funny

Great job catching a lot of key details. There’s very little throw away dialog in this show. Almost every line matters to some extent, and they do pay off most of the set up later. I also didn’t play the game and really loved this show.

That old lady deserves an award...perfectly creepy 👏 as well as that adorable dog. i have some issues with this show, but to be fair, it is amazing and a WONDERFUL adaptation of the video game. I wish there were more such great adaptations.

yea fungi keeps the host alive so they arent dead they are infected the body can die but the fungi still lives and explodes out the body

The whole fungal thing is interesting to me and seems may actually be something to look at closely.. aye most think of bacteria and viruses but we can generally shut both down.. covid was further proof of that... A fungal infection is a different beast ..... Most infections we know human wise kinda plague us for ages even with cremes etc like nail infections etc.... makes ye wonder
