Blinding Everyone? 2024 Honda Passport Headlights Aimed Too High - Here’s How to Adjust Them!

So just for the record. You would adjust those headlights with a 16 in. long reach #2 phillips screwdriver. And for whatever reason, it seems that Honda does set the headlight alignment a touch higher than recommended. I guess it's so drivers would be less likely to use the high beams?

Yeah, went to Harbor Freight to get the longest #2 Phillips screwdriver they had for my Ridgeline.

I’ve had my 2022 for less than a month and have the same complaint. Thanks for the vid, good to know I’m not just being neurotic. Given the attention to detail and quality that Honda gives its vehicles, it is disappointing that this wouldn’t be done right from the factory. I will be adjusting mine soon.

Our 2020 Honda Pilot Elite gets flashed fairly often. I just adjusted mine but agree with you that the factory setting is too high.

The right Is a very long 14 or 16 inch #2 Philips head screwdriver. And you're right they're all too high.

headlights all good now? what about the fog lights? are yours too low / dim? My PP fogs are only about 10 foot from the bumper - adjustment?

Headlights are a smidge low now, but if I pack it full I bet it will rise. The fogs aren't too bright.

@lonecamper1806 Fog lamps are designed to produce short range illumination when there is low visiblity in heavy fog, snow, dust. They are not designed to be low beam helpers or to allow you to see further ahead (that's what low beams are for). The correct aiming method for a fog lamp is to align the beam cutoff 4 inches DOWN from the height of the center of the fog lamp. Generally the beam would mostly be visible just barely over the hood line, maybe even less. Seeing as Honda screwed up the aim for headlamps its likely that the fog lamps may also need some adjustment.

You did not advise which way to turn the headlight adjustment nut. The info on the plastic faring that cryptically shows how to adjust up or down makes no sense to me. Must be Japanese thinking. 😉 Which way to lower?

I would recommend shining your lights onto a wall so you can watch the adjustment. I am sorry for the lack of clarity.
