Horrible place to put antenna. Get a lip mount.
@GotterAdventure
@GotterAdventure 2 сағат бұрын
I agree that it would be better to move it 100% above the rack. But, this antenna still reaches above the top which is better than a lot of other locations. We mostly use it for caravanning and don't need miles of reach.
@icebrakernh
@icebrakernh 16 күн бұрын
One problem with your placement of your antenna is the rack and your cargo carrier. I would recommend getting a small piece of metal that the magnet fits on 90 degree bend with pre drilled holes to mount to the rack its self. That way it’s above the obstructions.

I didn't realize you had to stop 2/3 the way up the shoot and re-start, very impressive and great driving line on that down hill tippy spot that looked so scary when the people in front of us did it. I'm in the BS and took the right hand approach, through the cut through, immediately before the tippy spot but if I'd have seen you go through first I'd have my brother spot me for the line you took there!! Ben, from HRG, really showed everyone how to do the spot where you took the door damage but that was after both of us had already done it.

Thanks I was really impressed with the Passport on the shoot. I got over confident and didn't listen to Randy... All in all this is the risk we choose to take. The damage isn't too bad and is definitely repairable if we choose to spend the money.

@no-lodesigns 20 күн бұрын
@JonDZ_Adventuring The sounds of crunching sheet metal got the jeeps guys attention in that section. It was rougher in spots. I was lead and tried a different line. I end up sliding into a root overhang... There are a lot of overhangs like that at uwharrie. I backed up and moved over 3-6inch and drove the line without issue. I believe a spotter could have prevented it. The door is still dented. I figure it's only worth fixing before parting ways with the truck. I think wider sliders would have helped out too. Just need them to be full length.

Good video. These are some really gnarly trails, and I heard about the trail damage this day but didn’t know you took some on too. Rock sliders are a good idea, but not totally sure if it would have saved the day. My favorite thing about this video was seeing you conquer the steep climb that you attempted in the old Pilot. Gearing and transmission type really make all the difference, and seeing you continue on from a complete stop was awesome.

@lonecamper1806 Fog lamps are designed to produce short range illumination when there is low visiblity in heavy fog, snow, dust. They are not designed to be low beam helpers or to allow you to see further ahead (that's what low beams are for). The correct aiming method for a fog lamp is to align the beam cutoff 4 inches DOWN from the height of the center of the fog lamp. Generally the beam would mostly be visible just barely over the hood line, maybe even less. Seeing as Honda screwed up the aim for headlamps its likely that the fog lamps may also need some adjustment.
