loved the reaction!! only thing i wanted to say is that ‘now and then’ by the beatles isn’t just a throwaway that they had to include because “it’s the beatles”. not only is it a beautiful and emotional track that serves as the beatles last ever release, it’s also a massive development in production that used brand new ai techniques to help with the vocals (the definition of ‘record of the year’)!!

thanks!! i love the emotion in the track and i love the beatles, HOWEVER, i don't know how i feel about the ai techniques in music yet so that doesn't serve as a huge determining factor for me overall. i think it won't win the bigger categories just because of the competition surrounding it.

@@lululululululus i adore both of those artists, i just don’t see it winning these categories with these other songs, nor have i found a place for the song in my day to day life. disease is amazing though can’t wait for her new stuff.

Gold Derby which tracks the odds for the various contenders has Hit Me Hard and Soft pulling ahead of Cowboy Carter. Doesn't hurt that Billie is on a sold world tour right now. Also if I were a Grammy voter, I wouldn't take kindly to being lectured by Jay-Z at last year's award show. He didn't do his wife any favors.

i haven't heard of this tracking but im really intrigued. i love Cowboy Carter and i think Hit Me Hard and Soft is also a good. i think what Jay-Z did last time was ridiculous, but that might actually persuade them to pick Cowboy Carter so that won't happen again. i also think they feel obligated to give it something (although they should feel obligated from excellence of the record alone) because they will give Post Malone the country categories she's nominated in. ill be talking about it more in my next video but that's a little summary of my thoughts.

I think Taylor really made a huge impact with TTPD because she has a HUUUGE fanbase, like millions of people, probably the biggest in pop music. I believe TTPD is a swifties album, not an album that was supposed to attract new listeners, if you listen to fortnight you're here for the juice, for the drama, for what you already know. So I don't think it's an album what will win any big categories cause it's such a niche thing.
