@jeremy ray I don't know if it's "overlooking" necessarily, more like... Well, I think the Jedi (cause it wasn't just Obi-Wan, I believe Yoda knew as well) just believe "Maybe if we let him have this bit of attachment on the down low, that'll let him ease off on some of his strongest urges and impulses", kind of like letting off the steam from a boiling pot so that it doesn't boil over. It actually shows a surprising amount of self-awareness, cause it means they were fully aware that the Jedi code can be overly strict, and they were willing to make certain exceptions for members who struggled with fully abiding by it 100% of the time. Of course, you could argue (probably quite rightly) that maybe if the Jedi had actually HELPED Anakin directly with his attachments, and talked to him about them openly, instead of just pretending to turn a blind eye and hoping things worked themselves out, it would have lead to a better outcome for everyone, but still. It does make me wonder how things would have played out if Anakin had just come clean about the pregnancy in Episode III. Mace would probably be a dick about it, but I feel like Yoda, Obi, and some of the others on the Council might have been willing to come up with some kind of compromise.

I had no clue he also did work on Halo. He was the voice of various things, but his main role was the Gravemind. Most of the Gravemind's vocal effects aren't generated effects at all. They're Baker's voice. He is an extremely talented individual. Also, same. The dialogue between Echo and Rex is nuts, and it reminds me of Rex talking to Waxer and Boil on Umbara, just after Pong Krell made the 501st and the 212th attack each other. Those two battalions were just as close as Anakin and Obi Wan were, and it's so sad when they realize what was going on.

This was such an awesome episode, even with the removal of the nose art of Padmé, the new scene with Anakin and Padmé was sweet and cute.😊 Plus it's cool to see the Keeradaks, the Poletecs including their Chief leader, Echo and Wat Tambor (in his new Model) in the final animation. Still, it makes me wish the Crystal Crisis in Utapau arc and the other unfinished arcs (Bounty Hunter, Son of Dathomir, Dark Disciple) would be in their final animation, especially the former with the lighting, effects, and dust as shown in the episode.

The Padme pinup moment wasn't just a throwaway thing for fans made after the fact. Anakin sees it and asks Hunter about it. Hunter says "she's our girl" and Wrecker says "she can negotiate with me any day." Anakin then tells Rex "That is NOT staying there." Filoni talked about that moment in a Celebration panel as well. As for what Obi-Wan knows, in Ep3 he knows in the scene in Padme's apartment that she is pregnant and he says "Anakin is the father, isn't he?" So at some point, likely during Ep3, he realizes she is pregnant and obviously suspects the truth. I thought the moment in this episode was a bit too heavy handed in showing she was pregnant. She could have been wearing a loose robe instead and not put her hand on her stomach. Made Anakin look a bit foolish IMO, but I get they aren't necessarily going for subtlety.

Damn you can tell they are working hard on the character development before we reach the end of this series so they can get that impact that they are going for when we finish this series, I don’t remember getting this much Character development in single episodes even in that final season of clone wars back in 2013. We had a lot of character development then but they seem to be focusing pretty hard on the inner thoughts and workings of what Rex is feeling after the incident with Fives and PTSD of losing his friends and how he now views the war as opposed to how he viewed it at the beginning of the series.

Just take a minute to appreciate how brilliant that is; whether it's the droid Army learning Clone strategies using and countering "analytics" here in this new (finished,) version, or an "algorithm," (in the original unfinished episode arc,) it's still a stroke of brilliance to invent and put into use a Squad of Clones who notoriously _don't_ follow any preset strategies or tactics whatsoever, in an effort to infiltrate on a mission to deprive the CIS forces from being able to gain such an advantage. The Bad Batch is the perfect answer to predictability, because they're genetically enhanced to be unpredictable. (Not to mention the Techno Union abducting, altering, and "plugging in" one of the original Clones who helped Rex invent the Grand Army of the Republic's strategies and tactics, who effectively helped write the book, so they could eventually achieve that advantage in the first place. If _any_ Galactic Military was likely to employ such measures, it would undoubtedly be one made up of Droids.) The levels of complexity are impressive, to say the least. If that's not intelligent story telling, I don't know _what_ is. ✌

The best part of this episode is all the triggered people that didn’t get their peak at a half nude Padme from the unfinished version and upset that they didn’t get to fulfill their fantasies 😂 sure it was a funny scene, but it didn’t progress the story in any way. I like both scenes but the new scene brings so much more depth into Anakin and Padme’s marriage by means of communication during the outer rim sieges and how they set a routine of holocommunication, and the fact that Rex knows and covers Anakin just goes to show how strong the bond is between the two.

That scene with Anakin and Padme was changed for the revived season, as in the original version she didn't appear at all, most likely changed it to make the gap between this arc and Revenge of the Sith smaller now, as this was originally gonna be part of season 6 and there was about 40 episodes in various stages of production, some of which were adapted into a comics or novels after shows cancellation (Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir and Dark Disciple). This scene actually is another reminder for me how the relationship between Anakin and Padme is handled so well.
