Some Facts About RRR (I Know You Know).. Ram is Like SHRI RAMACHANDRA (LORD RAM) Sita Is Like MATA SITA (Wife Of SHRI RAMACHANDRA) And Bheem Is Like SHRI HANUMAN (A Devotee (More Than That) Of SHRI RAMACHANDRA), Here's Why, Because In Mahabharat (An Epic History), BHEEM Is Son Of GOD PAWANA DEV (GOD OF AIR/WIND) AND Also HANUMAN Is Son Of GOD PAWANA DEV (GOD Of AIR/WIND), They Are Half-Brothers..., And Also In The Final Scene Of Jailbreak, BHEEM Carrying RAM, Like SHRI HANUMAN Carrying SHRI RAMACHANDRA....👍😀 Now, I Know The True Meaning Of The Title Of This Movie "RRR" (Rise Roar Revolt)... The First Segment, "The Story" Is The "Rise" Part Of The Movie... The Second Segment, Both "Fire" & "Water" Is The "Roar" Part Of The Movie... The Third Segment, After The Title Card Appears.. Is The "Revolt" Part Starts... RRR IS SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE OF IT'S OWN KIND... RRR Has Over-the-top Action, Drama, Romance, Bromance, Emotion, Deep Meanings And Every Frame Is A Art... And Not A Single Scene Is A Waste, It Use Those Scene For Battle...

I recently came to know this from a comment section that the bridge scene summarizes the entire plot of the movie. Ram's mission, regarding the country, jumps with the flag and Bheem's mission, saving Malli, jumps for a child. The human pyramid thing 27:00 is actually a part of a religious festival celebration. They are celebrating Janmashtami, the day where Lord Krishna was born. As a child, he was known for getting together with his friends, forming a pyramid and stealing butter from pots that were hung up in high up places. As celebration, folks try and do the same thing, with raised stakes. So you hang up an earthen pot allllll the way up. You and your team make a GIANT human pyramid. One guy has to then climb up all the way to the top, and break that earthen pot. The team that does this, wins a cash prize. This competition is called Haandi/Matki Phod. This isn't something that normal folks, do. It is more of a competitive thing.

I just have a question that why do you guys consider so many humans or humans with super hero capabilities like Ram, Krishna, Buddah, Sai baba as gods when they're just mere humans who were born naturally and died naturally?
@akshen92 Жыл бұрын
The reason behind the friendship which you guys might have missed was that Ram saw his little brother in Bheem. It was referenced with Bheems/Akhtars fake mother in Delhi telling him to eat with his right hand and the same scene of Rams mother telling his younger brother to eat with his right hand in the flashback.

I too thought it was a bit convenient that Raju recovered instantly after Bheem healed his knees with herbs. But I noticed there's more to the scene on a rewatch. After applying the herbs, Bheem prays in front of the Rama statue, a Hindu deity. When Bheem notices the bow and arrows, what happens next isn't that he takes the bow and arrows. Instead, he takes the soil at the feet of the Rama statue, and blesses Raju on his forehead with it. Next we see Raju is the epic hero shot, where he appears like a traditional depiction of Rama the deity. So we've basically entered wuxia-level mythical storytelling here. Bheem blesses Raju with the power of Rama, and Raju recovers magically (in the mythical sense of the word) and literally becomes Rama.
@rupalirotti7327 Жыл бұрын
Faith has magical powers (doesn't matter what one has faith in). The movie shows a combination of herbs and mantra treatment and then the soil at the feet of Rama statue (which isn't soil, its vermillion, which is medicinal and used in some treatments). This isn't mythical; it's pure science, which the "modern" science is yet to catch up to. There are people in India who heal themselves within moments (done it myself too). There are treatments here (branded as backward and "alternative" forms of treatment) which can cure certain things within seconds. There's a guy in South India who heals snake bite over the phone -- you just tell him the name of the person bitten and the type of snake that bit the person. He will just utter a mantra and the person will be healed without medicines, no matter where in the world he/she is (long distance healing). There are certain treatments where only a touch or a gesture can do wonders. All this may sound over-the-top and made-up claims, but after spending half my life believing in modern science, books, and western narratives about India and its people and how backward they are, I have experienced it first hand how great their knowledge is and now I don't want to go back. Even cosmetics are all a sham compared to traditional Indian methods. Moreover, the herbs treatment in India is miraculous. I personally have seen the effects of Allopathy and how limited a science it is and now my entire family has switched to Homeopathy and Ayurveda because we have seen real changes in our condition without side effects. Allopathy is all manufactured chemicals, whereas the other two are naturopathy's. Allopathy now feels like a sticker on running tap water (temporary solution, but the ailment comes back again sooner or later), a sticker which sometimes needs to be replaced everyday (in case of diabetes and heart conditions where you have to take medicines daily for the rest of your life). On the other hand, these natural treatments find out which tap is open and how much it has to be closed (so it gets to the root cause and cures the cause rather than working on symptoms). And Bheem belongs to a tribe who have lived for millenniums in the jungle. They know and respect the animals, birds and trees there. They know how much to destroy and how to replenish anything about the jungle. And, they are masters in herbal medicines. Most importantly, they are illiterate in the modern ways of education and hence, haven't been manipulated into thinking their knowledge is backward or that its impossible to do it. While the world may think its mythical or magical, it's regular daily life for them.

To answer Aaron's question at 28:00 The two leads Raju (Fire) and Akhtar (Water) are running together with the train in between and then they disappear into the steam released by the train. The significance of this shot is that as the two leads are bonding together as friends, fire and water are mixing together and when you meet fire with water, you get steam. They tried to signify their friendship by the steam while the song 'Dosti' plays which literally means friendship in Hindi.

Some details about the movie characters and Historical back story : Originally Alluri Sita Rama Raju since he went into forests for helping the tribals, actually used to wear Saffron clothing and used bow & arrows resembling Hindu god "RAM" (was also a sharp shooter) It was his approach to stand as a symbol of inspiration for tribals to revolt (known as Rampa Rebellion, with motto "Mande Rajyam" which translates to.. Ours is this kingdom) against British in Visakhapatnam agency. (Some believe that Alluri Rama Raju taking "Sanyas" (divine way of living) after death of his love Sita, was the reason for his Saffron attire). Sita really was his lover's name and after her death he changed his name from Alluri Rama Raju to Alluri Sita Rama Raju. Born in the West-Godavari (a district of present Indian state Andhra Pradesh), in a Telugu Kshatriya family to Alluri Venkata Rama Raju and his wife Suryanarayanamma, after his parents died (when he was 12) was raised by his uncle Rama krishnam Raju. He was a well educated, civilized man who felt that the tribals are the ones being suppressed the most by british, and went to forests and dedicated his entire life for helping them fight british, although wasn't a tribal himself. He used to do guerilla raids on British police stations (after informing & challenging them that he's going to come & attack and stop him if they can) and collect guns & weapons, using an army of armed tribals by training them. It's said that it costed more than a million even in those days, for the british to finally find and execute him. They killed Rama Raju unethically while he's unarmed, performing a morning Prayer. Komaram Bheem, a tribal himself from gond tribes of Adilabad (a district of the present Indian state "Telangana") is rumoured to be an extremely strong man, and to hunt a tiger by himself. He used to wear muslim disguises during his revolt against Nizam. He died fighting the Nizam's of Bhagyanagaram (Present day Hyderabad) In Telugu states (Andhra, Telangana) everyone knows these things, maybe not in other states. They were referred as Sri Ram and Bheemasen (since long back before the movie even existed !!) from their names and features (Rama Raju's- Saffron Attire, his lover's name is "Sita", went to forests and made an army using tribals, man of extreme commitment, Komaram Bheem- Physical strength, Crude attacking nature, Perseverance) being similar to characteristics of Lord Ram from Ramayanam and Bheem from Mahabharatam and out of the level of reverence they've achieved from people. Both left their homes almost in the same period and then returned after some time and started their revolutions against British and Nizam respectively. After returning home, Rama Raju started wearing Saffron clothing till the day he died fighting for tribals, and Bheem came back as an educated man and started his rebellion with motto.. Jal, Jangal, Jameen.. with translates to Water, Forest & Soil.. As no one has a clear idea about what happened to them in that period when they left, and what made them become revolutionaries.. the movie writer wrote a Fictional story that they met and became friends and Bheem was the one who gave Rama Raju a Saffron attire and that he got educated himself from Rama Raju, connecting everything that was remembered in telugu people hearts.. if we see carefully, we can see all these details used in the movie clearly.. The mythological references are used in bgms.. as these freedom fighters are actually revered by referring them as Lord Sri Rama and Bheemasen.. in many parts of Telugu states... Other details : -Also The Indian Flag used throughout the movie was the older Berlin Committee Flag (designed by Madame Bhikaji Cama, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and Shyamji Krishna Varma) corresponding to the time period. (Current Indian flag was designed by Pingali Venkayya, also from Telugu land) -Rama Raju is also referred by people as "Manyam Dhora".. which translates to King/Chief of the Wild Forests and Komaram Bheem is praised as "Gondu Bebbuli".. which translates to Ferocious Tiger of Gond tribes. These names are also referred in the Original (Telugu) movie version on zee5. The one in Netflix is Hindi dubbed (bollywood) version. -The bike used by Bheem was the older world war version which were designed lightweight for men to lift and carry them when required. -Names of Freedom fighters shown in the rrr movie ending song & which indian state they belong to & their language : -Subhash Chandra Bose (state west bengal/ orissa, language Bengali) -Sardar Vallabhai Patel (state Gujarat, language Gujarati) -Kittur Rani Chennamma (state Karnataka, language kannada) -V.O.Chidambharam pillai (state Tamil nadu, language Tamil) -Bhagat Singh (state Punjab, language Punjabi) -Tanguturi Prakasam panthulu (also RRR Heroes Alluri SitaRama Raju & Komaram Bheem) (state Andhra, language Telugu) -Varma Pazhassi Raja (state Kerala, language malayalam) -Chatrapathi Sivaji (state Maharashtra, language Marathi)

So, apparently Raju and Bheem (the historical figures) were named after Rama and Bhima, the protagonists of Ramayana and Mahabharata (two of the most significant Indian epics) and the film leaned into that, with certain story beats, and especially with those lyrics in the finale. India has 23 officially recognised languages & thousands of other sub languages, so it's not surprising that we have more than 1 film industry. It's like a parallel universe where instead of one Hollywood we have 7 more(our rich culture makes it possible) & All of them are constantly competing against one another. Every film industry is very different and has a specific taste or style.. Also about the genre - genre is more of a western concept, we usually don't make movies with only one genre ( cause life isn't just sad or just happy), but if you wanna give it a name, you can say it's a 'Masala' movie ( blend of spices)

When Ram & Bheem fight at the castle and the former uses the holy thread to pull Bheem up, at that exact moment the graphic of fire & water is shown with both of them holding the holy thread, is the intermission of RRR. So you can actually watch this film in two seatings.
@BrokenTooth Жыл бұрын
I think a lot of people fail to understand why the over-the-top action in this movie works as well as it does. And it boils down to the introduction of the two characters. Ram jumps into a crowd of thousands to arrest one guy, and you're immediately like he's gonna fail, there's no way. And the film warrants that sense of disbelief further with the scene where he gets a rock smashed over his head, but then he pushes through it in a grounded way (breaking free from their grips and picking them off one by one rather than doing a power up move and launching all of them into the orbit by just standing up). And then he continues to push through the crowd, and we as the audience believe in him more, but there's still that struggle that continues that leaves us on the edge of the seat. I mean, if Ram had sent those people flying in the air, the audience would have been like, 'okay, this is just cartoon, there's no way he can lose'. but because he continues to struggle, it's so damn compelling. And all of this is backed by the lingering question, 'why is he working against his own people?'. And the value of that question is greatly solidified by the first scene of the movie, where the British people kidnaps Mali, where it establishes that these colonizers are evil. My point being, Raju's introduction would not have worked as well as it did if it was the first scene in the movie. So after Ram arrests the person, you're left with your jaw on the floor. And then Bheems introduction starts with the Nijam telling the British officer about the shepherd. So now you have context as to what to expect when you hear someone say 'This person is not to be messed with' because you just witnessed someone of that caliber. So, it doesn't feel unbelievable that Bheem fights a tiger, and not to mention, he struggles with it too. With all this in place, everything else the follows in the movie feels natural because you have context in your mind as to what to expect, and the movie never fails to deliver big (The Bridge sequence, Interval fight, Mali's rescue, Prison fight, and the climactic battle). All of this is immensely helped by the incredibly compelling characters delivered by the narrative and their respective performances. (this is also the reason why Scott's flying shot doesn't work as well as the other action scenes in the movie, because as far as what the movie has established, we are never told or shown that Scott is a man of that caliber, so we don't believe it as much when he shoots the car and the car goes flying. But it's easily forgiven because the shot that immediately follows is of Raju getting stabbed by the tree branch that makes you gasp) This movie is fucking art. [This comment is copy pasted]

RRR is a feast to audience eyes with so many twists and turns. Bottom line starts with The Story > The Fire > The Water. Director SS Rajamouli did a fantastic job in aligning and connecting the dots. Technical aspects made the movie to the next level with so much of CG work with brilliant brains behind the scenes, which is a jaw dropping experience. And finally both the actors really did performance well and gave their best. All in all a worth watching movie with so much of fun filled excitement. Forgot to mention - BGM was outstanding too!! Thanks for your review team, I loved it. Best Wishes!!

There are a lot more analogies and symbolism in the movie that requires knowledge of Indian mythology and freedom fighters. Its so much more thrilling when you understand those :D

It is not mythology, it is history.
@overlord4kingdom8052 жыл бұрын
@@krishkrish42 theres connection to both history and mythology. thats why I said "mythology and freedom fighters" in my comment. Ram, Seetha, Bheem --> all names from Indian mythology. Bheem says "Seetha shouldnt go to Ram, Ram should come to seetha". He also says, "I will bring Ram even if I have to burn the Lanka" --> both of these are references from Ramayana, Indian mythology. And, ofcourse, they are characters inspired from freedom fighters and hence the connection to history.

The name bheem is always referred to a strong man.. people in india call(nickname) a strong man as bheem. Bheem is the strongest character in epic Mahabharata. It started all from there..

Absolutely loved how engrossed Calvin was. My man was sitting there stooped in the film with teary eyes while the rest of the crew were in awe!

27:58 so the right guy with specs asked "what does that shot mean?" So The director in one of his interviews said that, that shot is the symbolism of their friendship, it shows how it started with a train and is like a steam (fire + water). He was asked why didn't opt to keep the fire and water more subtle rather than so overt symbolism, he answered that this shot wouldn't be understood by most people , and so you know why his works are not subtlety centric.

20:41 yup you are right. Not only big stars but belongs to two of the biggest families in our telugu states ❤❤❤

That bridge sequence where they save the kid has got a great symbolism if you notice. Ram passes the flag to Bheem and Bheem passes the kid to Ram. In a way they exchange and share their missions and approaches. Bhim is on the mission to rescue an individual (Malli) and Ram wants to help the entire civilization. Freeing India is important and so is saving Individuals !!

Originally, the movie was 4 hours long but they made cuts because of the theatrical release! They should release director's cut

Thankyou for mentioning that the film is originally in Telugu, lots of reactors don't recognise our language.

Everyone knows it's a Telugu..if someone not it means they don't do basic research.

@@Iranianmushrik usually people see the hindi dubbed version so they dont realise. Telugu is not well known outside India.

@@ritzee13 yeah and I think it has everything to do with the fact that most foreigners watched it on Netflix which could only get the Hindi dub. I'm a non-Telugu speaking Indian, but I watched it on Hotstar in the original language. There's some dialogues that are just not translated properly, like the scene in prison where Ram speaks in Sanskrit to quote the Gita

@@samyak128 yea definitely, as a telugu speaker I can say that many dialogues are different. There are some sentences in languages that can't be translated/explained properly to others.

I knew if anybody would see the similarities with ATLA, it would be Blind Wave. Watching this awesomeness, I couldn’t help but think how similar these two are to Aang and Zuko. Even the elemental references aside, they have got the prison escape, the Iroh jail-levelup montage and everything.. Just loved it. Been a silent but huge fan of you guys since the ATLA reaction days.. 💙💙💙
