Some fun behind the scenes were just recently revealed on this episode. According to Glenn Howerton, the man he's talking to at 16:23, kept telling Glenn to say his scripted lines and DON'T improvise, even to the point of getting annoyed. Imagine being one of the main creators/writer of your own show and then having an extra tell you what to do like they're in charge of things!! Also, the person right behind that extra is comedian Rick Glassman!

It's soc crazy to me that at the time it was going, season 7 wasn't as well liked. It just goes to show that people will hate anything just cause it's new. I remember the reddit posts and KZbin videos where people were talking about season 7 being weak and the show not being as good after season 4. Now it's regarded as one of the best seasons overall, if not the best

This is, I think, one of the best sitcom Christmas episodes ever written, purely for the inclusion of Frank coming out of the couch and Charlie's rampage against the mall Santa. The latter was actually the first full scene of this show I ever watched (my younger sister showed it to me in an effort to get me into the show), and needless to say the chaos and carnage completely sold me on it. I love how most comedy Christmas specials will try to go for earnest heartfelt good feels, but instead this one just goes even further into insanity and anarchy, it's just delightful. Anyway, very excited to see the reactions to the next season; season 7 is honestly my favourite, every episode (with perhaps one exception) is a certifiable comedic masterpiece, and it even has my all-time favourite It's Always Sunny episode, so looking forward to that.

baby mac and charlie are SO CUTE ugh. poor kids, they deserved better. at least charlie's mom seems to actually love him, but she's still a terrible person who presumably let some really horrible stuff happen to charlie. and btw, where were charlie's sisters that we've only seen once and barely ever mentioned? my headcanon is the girls' father obtained custody of them, and since charlie never knew his, he got stuck with mom. or maybe they hadn't been born yet I guess.

❤ this Christmas Special. The rocks at trains bit reminds me of when I was like 9 to 11 years old and the neighbor kids and I would toss apples from the orchard in my yard into the back of trucks as they drove by. I remember at like 2am a truck stopped when we tossed apples in the back. We all panicked and hid amongst the trees. 😅 Reflecting, I hope we didn't damage anyone's vehicle.
