I think Eric could be right about Omega being able to “clone” abilities. I personally wonder if she’s supposed to be the Kaminoans’ end goal of creating a perfect clone and possesses a lot of the enhanced traits of the Bad Batch in one clone. A lot of scenes have shown her copying the behavior and mannerisms of the Bad Batch, especially Hunter. She was able to pick up firing a blaster accurately very quickly. She was working with Nala Se and the medical droid and knew about the inhibitor chips and how they worked. And there have been a lot of shots showing her watching how Tech flies the ship and when he was making the chain codes. She’s an extremely quick learner, really quiet and observant, and has been quite capable on the missions so far.

@Blinde Wave, Clone Force 99 wasn't an accident. They were specifically engineered to do what they do. That said, it is possible that the side of Wrecker's face was an accident or maybe it's just a battle scare. Either way, their unique set of skills wasn't an accident; those skills were an intended design by the Kamanoians. Clone 99, however, WAS malformed clone who suffered from several physical defects. He still had the instincts of a fighter, but his malformed body kept him from doing what the Kamanoians guaranteed clone troopers could do, which is why he was assigned to janitorial duties on Kamino, as nothing gets wasted. Omega is an ace card of some sort, and I believe that's why Nala Se and helped Clone Force 99 escape and why Lama Su instructed her to keep quiet about Omega--they weren't acting in the best interest of a cloned child; she's their product. Omega has a better chance of staying in play off world, and so the Kamanoians made sure that happened. Personally, I think the Kamanoians are playing both sides of the field--like DJ implied in episode VII. Tarkin is aiming to cut them out of future endeavors and the Kamanions aren't having it. If the Empire doesn't want to honor/continue their contract, the Kamanoians will surely want to show future clients what their current products can do, and this effort is likely why Kamanoians were replaced with humans (or human like) personnel in the Mandalorian. I sort of doubt that Omega is Force Sensitive--she knew exactly what Crosshair would do. Not even the Jedi/Sith can see the future so clearly. They can see things that'll likely happen, and those visions get sharper as whatever they foresaw edges closer to fruition. I think Omega is sort of like a queen bee and has a connection to the clones specifically. If they are of a hive mind, she would be able to see and hear their thoughts, explaining why she knew exactly what Crosshair would do, and why she assured him that it wouldn't be his fault. If the Empire took control of the computer keeping the clones in check, it might be a good idea to have a master key to override that computer if someone were to turn your creations on you, and Omega just might be that master key for the Kamanoians, a living computer. As she's a clone of Jango Fett too, she'd be skilled or at least have knowledge of how to fire a weapon. While she didn't go through the military training like the others, she's a bit rusty, but she knows how weapons work, as she demonstrated in the first story. If she's tuned into what other clones are thinking, she could've looked inside crosshairs mind to see what she needed to do to save the day as well. We'll find out soon enough =D

Echo's an arc trooper with a scomp link arm. Despite his cybernetic enhancements, he's not all that tech-savvy. However, he brings some incredible military tactics and skills to the team; I don't think Tech would have done as well trying to stealth his way to the ID disks. Tech's specialty aligns more with data collection and analysis, in addition to his computer and hacking skills.

@brianalambert11923 жыл бұрын
So, I think we've hit upon one of the definitive plotlines that will make a good star wars story. It's father child relationships. Think about it, that's what the entire original trilogy was about. It's a big plot of Rogue One between Jyn and Galen and Saw Kylo Ren and Han Solo's relationship was the best moment in Rise of Skywalker Kanan and Ezra's relationship in Rebels The Mandalorian The Bad Batch And I may be alone in this, but I think Qui Gon Jin's relationship with Obi Wan and his relationship with Anakin were great moments in the Phantom Menace. The only time I can think of when it didn't work was in Solo between Han and Woody Harrelson (I don't care enough to look up the character's name), and the reason is the film didn't put much emphasis on it. It just seems like the father child dynamic works well in the Star Wars world

That whole theory of there only being two Kaminoans and cloning themselves opened doorways that blew my mind lmaoo
@soundgal_sine_qua_non3 жыл бұрын
Can't get this out of my head, but these are clones of Jango Fett, the original single dad of Star Wars. And he requested a son as part of his deal with the Kaminoans. I wonder if Jango's desire for fatherhood is something that isn't a surface trait inherited in the clones, but comes to the surface if given enough time in the right situation.

Imagine there's a AU where Din and Hunter take Grogu and Omega to school for the first time and both dad just look at each other and nod while the kids are fighting over a macaron

For me, the funniest thing was how Omega tried to act like a normal kid with her nephews. It was both funny and adorable.

Funny how you guys point out the Twi'lek having French accents. When Dave Filoni did the episode "Innocents of Ryloth" he based that episode from world history when the American came to liberate the French from the Nazis. So basically, the Twi'lek's were heavily based on the French people

If you think about it it’s interesting that the bad batch was allowed to exist - the kaminoans knew that order 66 wasnt really working in them that was common knowledge - if palpatine knew there were soldiers without the order in his army he would have freaked out massively - just smth thats interesting the kaminoans obviously tested them knowing lord tyrannus wouldnt approve - so they never touched the order 66 topics since they needed some combat experience with genetically altered clones since that is their contingency plan...makes me think the bad batch was existing solely to make sure that the kaminoans can quickly develop an army capable of beating the clone army...an army for resistance and rebellion and tarkin the total genius immediately noticed that. They werent build purposefully to disobey the order thats a side effect the kaminoans knew about and ignored ON PURPOSE. They are „experimental“ unit 99 but not in the way we think they are experimental for kaminoan use not republics use

@@flamingsmore5904 Im really hoping for it especially since a lot of fans always complain why clones werent used by the empire. I think they need to show how easily manipulated clones can be so the entire fanbase understands how smart siddious is by not using them anymore

I'm late but i'm beginning to think that a good delineation between Tech and Echo is 'intellect' vs 'knowledge'; Tech seems to have a problem picking up on when something he knows is common knowledge/easily inferred, and Echo knows when something needs to be shared because he gets the importance of information dissemination. Also what one of the BW crew said on the last video that Echo knows what it is like to be a reg and all the ins and outs of being a normal soldier to a greater machine while most of the Batch seem to have only ever been in the out-group -- so, again, knowledge.

With regard to Kaminoans, I always got the impression that the facility we see is just for interacting with off-planet clients, and their actual society is under the ocean.

Wild-ass theory number two: Omega incorporates the "defective genes" of several members of the Bad Batch. Enhanced senses, enhanced intellect, and enhanced spacial awareness (or whatever Crosshair has). Wild-ass theory number three: She's an emergency override for clones, intended as a failsafe protection against treachery from Palpatine.

With the Empire introducing chain codes which may seem harsh on their citizens, it is no different to today having our ID. It shows how uncontrolled the Republic was under the previous regime. The Empire offered its citizens the chance of peace, opportunity, and prosperity. Although they didn't treat aliens species very well through slavery and human high culture, so I suppose it had its major flaws

I'd imagine there are "normal" Kaminoens. The planet must be huge and we've only ever really been to one facility on it.

So, Rex reached out to Cut, this pleases me. I'm glad Tech and Omega know about the chips. Why did Wrecker remind me of Zeb in this episode? Might be because of the dead lifting of the Gonk

GENETICS TIME! You just need an Y chromosome to present as male. XX: F, XY: M, X:F(Turner syndrome), XXX:F (Trisomy X), XXY:M (Klinefelter syndrome), XYY:M (Jacobs syndrome), etc So a male (XY) has what you need to make a female clone of itself with Turner syndrome by removing the Y. I'm not sure, but you might be able to avoid at least some of the effects of Turner's if you just replicate the existing X. You might need to import an X from a donor to avoid some symptoms. You could also pull a Jurassic park and prevent hormones during development and make them present as female even if they are genetically male. Doesn't work the other way. If you are cloning a female, you would have to find a way to insert an Y chromosome for an XXY, or XY to get a male. Of course, all of this is in humans from Earth. I'm not so sure that the "Humans" in Star Wars play by the same rules. I don't know about you, but I'm curious what a sex-swapped clone of myself would be like. Something to ponder about.

Honestly, the debate of whether or not the bad batch were intentionally mutated or not is pretty simple. They were. As soon as they were introduced in clone wars, Cody refers to them as “experimental clone unit 99”. The word “experimental” sums it all up.

I’m surprised that Shea and Chet are still young! I mean, in season 2 Ahsoka was in her early teens when the episode of Rex and Cut Lawquane came out. Now she’s in her 20s. Either that or Twileks age a little slower

Love the points you guys made with this episode. The way I see clone individuality is that the Kaminoans made them who they are with the help of the force. 99 was probably an attempt to make the Clones more docile and it kinda worked. The Bad Batch were all made as "Super" Soldiers but were too expensive to mass produce.

The only plotlines I will admit feel like Filler are the Wookiee’s from Rebels, and the Polotecs from Clone Wars S7. Both have a promise to the Protagonists too help. But both plot lines are essentially forgotten about, particularly the Wookiee’s from Rebels.
