Yes, he can turn the lights on guys. Lucifer means the morning star (Venus) hence his last name in the show but it also means Light-Bringer or bringer of dawn depending on if it's translated from hebrew, greek or latin. Because when God created the Universe he gave Lucifer the task of making the stars, "turning on the light" so to speak. To quote the Bible And God said "let there be light" and there was light. Lucifer was also the only one able to turn on Azreals blade if you remember.

I love that you guys are trying to figure out what the extent of his "turning things on" power cuz fans have been trying to do the same thing since he said this 😂 the other thing that hasnt been officially confirmed but alot of the fans theorize is that Lucifer can unlock locks because he does it all the time, seemingly without picking it. He breaks into Chloe's house all the time despite it being locked. I've wondered if those are the same thing where he can like flip switches (switch on the car, switch open the lock) and if so where do those powers come from? Is it devil related, desire related or light related or smth else?

An angel's powers are self actualized and that's how he saw himself at the time. He may have lost that power during his development (I.e. turning cars on etc - we know later he uses the key to start the car). I think the lock opening is a different thing to this though.

This episode was aired on New Year's Day as a special treat for the fans, that's why for you it seems like it came out of nowhere. So without counting that episode, there was a six week long break between episodes 10 and 12. Learning more about Cain really took forever.

I think the season is a bit back and forth and confusing because at the time there was a discussion that the series should be discontinued. Until Netflix heard the fans and saved Luci. Nevertheless, each episode has its own highlights.

Chloe didn't have that power over him at first. In the pilot Lucifer gets shot repetedly while he is checking on Chloe who was also shot. He was perfectly okay.

Chloe actually has no power over him. The angels self actualize, what they believe they are, they become on the surface. For years Lucifer believed himself to be evil so he looked like that burnt devil. Working with Chloe and her repeatedly telling him that he is not evil eventually convinces his subconscious of the fact and so his wings pop out. Killing Pierce makes him the first angel to actually kill a human, going against gods decree, so he believes himself to be evil again, hence the face comes back in the finale of S3. Amenadiel did a lot of reprehensible things in the name of God in s1 to get Lucifer back to hell. He lost his wings because he felt he wasn't worthy of them. In regards to Chloe and Lucifer's vulnerability, it's the same. At the start she was just a cop he wanted to bang. Over the eps he started liking her and allowed himself to be vulnerable to her. That is why he can bleed near her. She isn't doing anything. Lucifer is allowing himself subconsciously to be vulnerable. This is all explained in S4&5.

These are episode fillers. They are recorded earlier, possibly even the previous season. I believe they create these so they can fit anywhere, and designed them so they can throw them in if they run behind and need more time to finish an episode. If they don't need them, they play them at the designated time. Without spoiling anything, they had 2 of those episodes made to be shown in season 4, but then they were canceled, which caused an uproar. With all the hubbub about the show, they decided to throw out those episodes, which all the people who didn't get the memo were pissed about since they didn't do anything to advance the story.
