It's so hard for me to see J'onn as anyone but David Harewood(from the Arrowverse), until today. Harry f*cking KILLED it as J'onn. Yes we didn't see much of Darkseid, but we only needed to see how powerful the avatar of tyranny is capable of being. This was an amazing part 5 to the story we started with Man Of Steel, particularly with Bruce still having knightmares. This is what we deserved in 2017, no doubt. I want more from this. We now live in a society where in 2 years we've gotten both Crisis and Darkseid. I'm here for it

For the movie overall, 8/10. There were parts that I felt maybe dragged on a liiiiitle too needlessly. But this movie had so much heart. I loved it so much. Cyborg is the heart of this movie. The Flash is my favorite DCEU character. The extra scenes with him fighting Superman I just started laughing it was so great. But I must say, we NEED more Battfleck. I thought he was awesome in BVS. He took it to ANOTHER LEVEL here. Seeing him lead the team brought a big smile to my face. They need to let Zack complete his vision. He knows what we want.

Fun fact, for the Themyscira scene where they were guarding the Mother box and fought Steppenwolf. The casting company put out a casting call for female bodybuilders and they went to the 2016 Miss Olympia finals to find the most buff women for that scene

I'm glad you talked about Batman V Superman. One of the strengths of that movie in my opinion was that they showed Batman in that state. i didn't need to see a movie to gather that this was a Batman who had suffered so much loss and heartache that he just didn't care anymore, going to more extremes to ensure possible dangers did not resurface again. I never mocked the Martha scene because I understood what it represented. I thought it was an interesting take on Batman, reminding me of Bruce from Batman beyond who had become cynical and willing to beat and intimidate people calling his younger incarnation soft.

all gods live in the gods sphere, no?
@shauntempley97573 жыл бұрын
@@finnclark8114 No, the gods you are thinking of, like Zeus, are in the multiverse. That is why they are there at the History Lesson. They get strength from the worship of humanity that lives around them. The stronger the worship, the more powerful they are. The New Gods are the representation of each godly good and evil idea. They do not need worship for strength. Their ideas give them full power, and their power manifests in specific ways. High Father embraces the ideas of hope, kindness, compassion, healing, life, youth and innocence, and equals Darksied in power. Darkseid embraces the ideas of despair, cruelty, indifference, sickness, death and trauma. Both gain immense strength from those ideas existing, they warp reality around them with that strength.

Zack Snyder NEVER meant to "catch up" with Marvel. He literally said "Marvel is great at what they're doing, they have their formula, but that's not what I'm doing. I'm doing my own thing". His plan wasn't to create a giant neverending cinematic universe. He just wanted to tell one story over the course of 5 movies, and then reboot everything with Flashpoint, so that a new director could come in and create their version of the DC universe. I like the MCU,.. but my god, it completely ruined the comicbook movie genre forever. Because now EVERYTHING has to be compared to Marvel, and any form of originality or creativity gets shot down and trashed. And if you even dare to mention you're a DC or SONY fan, all the diehard MCU fans will get offended and attack you en mass. And what's even worse, it's starting to bleed over into non-comicbook movies as well.
