He definitely deserves a lot more credit as a songwriter. Sloppy live guitar playing at times but the man definitely knows how to craft a song.

Thanks man. I covered one of their tracks not too long ago, not a big fan of them really, there's a couple of decent songs on that one album but I'll see what I can do.

What a good tone and play! Its nice to hear an original sound, but what if you add some your own style, and vision of cover song, as expirement?

There's a couple of songs I want to eventually cover from the Self Titled album, anything past that album I stopped listening to Blink. So, unless I hear the song and I dig it, I won't cover it. Just an FYI.

Awesome cover and tone. So you were using an IR and not the Bogner cab?
@90sPunkRockCovers3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. That’s correct, I record all of these covers using IRs.
@clfnole3 жыл бұрын
@@90sPunkRockCovers with that Bogner do you have to keep the gain lower than you might with other amps? Never played one but heard they can get pretty heavy.
@90sPunkRockCovers3 жыл бұрын
@@clfnole you mean the amp or the cab? My issue is how loud it gets in the room if I were to use the head and cab and recording with a mic setup. I would prefer to record this way instead, as a matter of fact I am not a big fan of IRs, they don’t sound as good to me no matter how many different ones I’ve tried, but that is the only way to record silently so…
@clfnole3 жыл бұрын
@@90sPunkRockCovers actually the amp to that question. The Bogner sounded really good was just wondering if you had to dial the gain back because I have read they can get metal heavy.
@90sPunkRockCovers3 жыл бұрын
@@clfnole not really, it can get heavy but is not a modern heavy sound. I typically run my gain between 5 to 7 on the gain dial with pretty much every amp I own. This is the Ecstasy Classic so it’s less compressed and more open sounding. The Bogner Helios and Uberschall models are definitely gainier.
