Hello Will, Just a really big thank you from a French drum beginner. Your English is really easy to understand as well as the things you explain, the video is very entertaining! Travis Barker is one of my favorite drummers so thank you again for making his work understandable !

With regards to the Travis Barker left hand on Tom decision Vs keeping the right doing constant 8th I've actually found a combination of both to be best. + a 1 - + - 2 R L R - L - R S S S - t - t The continuing with right lead Similarly for that sweet fill in the middle of verse 1 of All the Small things. Second open hihat(O) to snare hit... Even though that lands on beat 3 so straight 8th on the right hand feels like it's easier with left filling in the 16th note gaps, that switch to left on the beat makes for a much cleaner snare hit on 3 that punches through better and makes the following snare on 3+ cleaner 1 - + a 2 e + - 3 R - R L R L R - L - R L R L R L R O - S S S S O - S -S S t t S S C K K. K Try it and let me know if you agree 😃👍

Ok but why is there no moment in the video where the intro is played in a loop??? It makes it easier to play along to (I suck and keep rewinding haha)

Haha sorry man, trying my best! Thanks for the feedback, I’ll consider that approach for future tutorials.

@@WillDrumsDalyYeah haha well it’s just cause I’m not great and I keep having to rewind 😅 (I usually learn songs by listening and playing along to the same 4 bars on repeat)

I’ve spent at least 3hrs today on getting this down. You know when you say a word over and over and it no longer sounds real? First date is no longer music. It’s 1 eh and ah 2 eh and ah I’m gonna have dreams about this for sure

But for real. This Lesson was top tier.
