I was looking for an outdoor camera to keep an eye on my dogs in the yard when I'm not home. kzbin.infoUgkxOXxsTZ3ptV_Pk0fFl8bNZvVqeoqBQFwe Tried a different one that was absolutely terrible, so I got these instead. They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. The best part is I only get the footage I want to see, not hours of videos of the bird feeder swaying in the breeze.

Same. I got mine before the weekend and I’ve been trying to get it to work all weekend. All times of the day when there isn’t much use off Wi-Fi. Even kicked everyone off the Wi-Fi to try and set up but nothing. I bought the doorbell and 5 pack of cameras tried both sync 2 modules as well as doorbell and outdoor cameras and non will be detected by the sync module. I’ve checked my speeds and I have 45mbps download and 5/6mbps upload speeds which is not considered slow. Ready to send these back by Monday

Firs time set up happening. I have reached a stoppage attempting to name a system. I believe the selection is a camera system and sync module (second one down). Asked to name the system. I give it a name but can't get it accepted via "DONE", and I don't have a "NEXT selection on my phone. I'm stuck. Should I scan the cameras first? Thanks

Thanks! Yes, if I am not mistaken, up to 10 individual cameras can be paired with a single sync module unit.

Hey Xavi, I'm not aware at this time of the sync module supporting SSD drives, seems like it's limited to USB drives, at 256 GB capacity limit, but still it's saving to flash memory.

The Blink sync module serves as the interface between the camera itself and your home internet connection. Without the sync module, information (i.e., video) cannot be relayed between the camera and internet.

Having a number of Blink outdoor cameras I have found a lot of problems related to the sync module and the camera combo. The Blink design team decided to dumb down the camera ( to save money?) They put the smarts in the sync 2 device the gets your configuration from your phone app and then updates the camera. Why did they have make this so complicated. When you have a problem you need to figure out what component is the problem. Both devices require a strong Wi-Fi signal to work. It can and is very frustrating trying to make it work. Because it’s battery powered it needs to wake up from sleep mode, this saves battery life. When it finds motion it will wake up and start recording video. This takes time so you miss out on what ever it sensed. Also calling up the camera for a live video takes forever. Seconds go by before you get a live stream. Motion detection is very spotty and sometimes doesn’t even record anything. Over all I would recommend a different outdoor camera. Don’t buy this camera! You will thank me I’m sure. But The Blink mini does not require a sync module to function it uses Wi-Fi only. Runs off AC. It will record a much longer video clip the camera will come on it a second with no delay. I do recommend the Blink mini. The ones I have work great 👍🏼

Absolutely nothing he just walked through is true, That's how it's supposed to work. I have wireless plug and play cameras already, I purchased blink and the module 2 during prime day, After nice tech guy and I went through the process over and over, they sent me a new sync module, Still can't access WiFi, I have 3 extenders, I can use my tablets outside and in the basement, Can't connect blink the my wifi, the blue light keeps blinking and won't go solid. I really wanted these doorbell camera's, Had to send them back. Hope the Ring cameras I ordered works.

I'm trying to troubleshoot the same issue. Neither the outdoor cameras, minis or doorbell will connect to my wifi. If I can't get this to work soon I'll have to send it all back too....

It's doing this to me too. Xfinity tech even tried because Blink said my router is out of date (I have the current model so no). The mini (not wireless) I can arm and unarm from the app the module and wireless cameras will NOT connect to my WiFi no matter what we have tried. The wireless cameras and their garbage module are going back. I got them to work for maybe a couple hours when I first installed but it all went off line to never connect again. And when I say I tried everything I mean EVERYTHING. They need to make the module with a direct wire option. Waste.

Make sure your phone Wi-Fi is turned on. If it is, you should be able to browse for wireless networks within range.

@@Saleolatheesh - according to Blink Support troubleshooting: If you see any other light pattern, power cycle your Sync Module, unplug the power cord from the back of the unit for 10 seconds and plug it back in. The Sync Module should then reboot and display a solid green and solid blue light within 45 seconds. If you see no lights at all, try another power supply. You'll also want to ensure that you are in range of a working wireless network and router. You may also want to verify you are connecting to the correct wireless network. A reboot of your wifi router may also help, then retry the steps.
