I was thinking of upgrading my Mini’s when I saw the Mini 2 was released. After watching, I’m glad I didn’t! Even at only $40, it’s no where near enough of an improvement to justify replacing them.

Blink and there goes all yo Money ! I waited for this review being im grandfather in with storage with blink and been using it since blink started.. My current use of Blink is watching nature in my yard ,, Birds, squirrels, raccoons, and stray cats . The 30 fps is good and audio is OK.. Wyze V3 is the my answer to the new Blink...

I only watched this video because I really like your channel. I have no interest in cams with subscriptions. I use Reolink and Eufy. In 2020, I was executor for an estate sale including a townhouse. I had a Blink Mini that I bought because it was cheap. I used it to monitor the vacant property. For this purpose it worked perfectly, alerting me whenever it saw anything from the fireplace mantle and it could see the front door. Great security for $25. I still have it and it works. Never had a sub for it.

I was given 2 more C120's for Christmas because i bought one on November. My Wyze cams are now on less important duties like the side of my house, watching a 3D printer, Dog cam. Im just waiting for Wyze cams to break down and will be all Tapo eco system. Only problems i have with Tapo is weak microphone and it cannot detect a vehicle if the headlights are shining against it. Other than that, quick notifications especially person detect and good color night vision.

Well originally i dont like blink but because this one is water resistance i give it a thumbs up my sister have 2 blink floodlights the i give her for christmas and a doorbell and i install a mini under the back door porch poiting at the bastment door but she needs one for the garage so im going to get her this one. thanks for the review great job like always you are the best💪👍

As others have said spend the extra few bucks and get the Tapo 120 which I'm going to be replacing my Wyze cams with soon. Heck even the refurb Wyze V2s I bought work better than anything by Blink. Thanks for taking one for the team and paying full price for that turd of a camera.

I got my mini free with an echo show. That’s where the sale benefits. What you don’t know until you get it is how obtuse it is by forcing subscriptions. Ours is basically a glorified doorbell. I don’t share my cctv system so the echo blink combo is for the fam to know someone’s at the door. What they also don’t tell you is how limited it is. You can’t just live preview the camera off the echo. So the way for me to actually be able to use it is force a routine that triggers when motion is detected to open the camera on the echo. When the camera is triggered nothing else can use it. So if you want to preview on the app it will system busy you. With that info, this is good for an secondary system from your own cctv system that is hooked into amazons ecosystem. Another thing to note is if you don’t feel like drilling holes. You can swap out the metal from inside the base. I don’t know if this one has that same metal coin as a weight. It’s light enough to magnet it to something like your front door frames.

That is the adapter/transformer from 110 volts to 5 volts. It is just weatherproof.

I use my original blink mini outside now for 3years got a rubber housing for it and bought pantilt unit and place under eves on hiuse in UK, weather gies from -10 to 38° suprised it still works so well,got syn module 2 as no gransad rights in uk on cliyd st anymore 😢

Was thinking about grabbing one for a less needed area outside my home, so I was looking at cheaper options, but wow that video quality is pretty ass. Plus needing the outside kit, plus maybe the subscription, or module 2. Which equates to? Probably what the The eufy outdoor cam pro sells for, and is 1000x better than this, and not even a newer product.. the dropped the ball on this, hard.

It cannot. The mini 1 is micro USB and the 2 is USB-C.
