I think she willed herself back to him. Unconsciously. At the cocktail thingy in the beginning while she was walking towards Slater she walked with such conviction she didn’t even know what she was gonna say or do. She ended up tripping tho. But I think she felt something intense at that moment and she didn’t know it was RAGE!

I have been looking on youtube for answers or theories and no one can offer anything for the following 1. How did Frida escape the first time? When Slater was first exposed could it be that maybe she escaped or was released during a police raid or maybe an inside person snitched to the public on him? 2. In the final scene 2 police men seemed to arrest the therapist. Could it be that Frida is now under cover for the FBI and turning in whoever is still trying to purchase the perfume????? 3. I think the young male was a victim too hints “panda eyes”

Like Slater said, Frida is his best friend. She was his pet in a sense. He was fascinated by how the forgetting drug worked. She not only was drugged but had a blow to the head. Slater felt powerful and thought he could get away with anything so my take is he watches her to see what happen. He was happily shocked when Frida in a strange twist saught him out and I think the possibility crossed his mind of how normal things could have been if he was not so messed up in the head. He also wants to forget but he enjoys the monster that he is even more. So he was trapped. Frida gave him a type of peace in the end even thought he was manipulated by his own invention.

7:19 I think everything has a meaning in movie a lot of subliminals if you will. From the time they came into the house she was saying red rabbit which I think is the name of the drink the “venom”. Another way to look at it is as if you have this one person who knows what’s going on when you first come in and she tries to tell you but you don’t understand. You are so caught up that you can’t see or really care to understand. Until later. Which is when they starting understanding what was going on and why she kept saying red rabbit.

I’m still confused at the younger man. Who was he there for? And why were they drugging him? AND why did they kill him? At the end it looks like he turned on Slater for the girls.
@Michelle-bn5jyАй бұрын
@shelbzthinksshesagamer The young man was working at Slater's company. He was brought there because he has a sense of innocence. But underneath it he is a coward. He represents the part of Slater that was abused and did nothing to help himself or his sister or to stop the vicious abusive cycle. That's why he was drugged because it also shows how Slater would have loved to forget about everything. This movie has loads of symbolism
@shelbzthinksshesagamerАй бұрын
@@Michelle-bn5jy THANK YOU!
@Discworld-Edge-WitchАй бұрын
My interpretation is that He was a victim too. He got drugged and beaten up when he tried to do something about three abuse. Despite what Slater said, Lucas completely powerless to stop the abuse. If he didn't end up drugged, he would've been killed. And Slater gaslit him into believing he did nothing and was complicit. That said, his arc is left deliberately ambiguous. We don't know for certain if he was given the perfume or if he chose to drug himself out of cowardice. But we do see him trying to fight back and be a voice of conscience during the attacks. Which is why I think he was beaten up and forced to forget what he saw. We also know that Slater is a manipulative liar, so we can't take his monologue about Lucas doing nothing at face value.
@shelbzthinksshesagamerАй бұрын
@@Discworld-Edge-Witch that’s true! In the flashback it looked like a man was tryna do him like the ladies. But it was Slater tryna get him to go along with the chaos. I hate that he got killed when he finally gonna have his final girl moment!

@@shelbzthinksshesagamer Yup. Which is sadly accurate when it comes to the way we treat male survivors. Think about everything coming out about Diddy. Look at how differently we talk about the women he SA'd compared to the guys. Many people calling out Diddy will make offhanded homophobic comments. It makes you wonder how many of Diddy's male victims were shamed into silence as a result.

Firstly, why would a billionaire who's privy to top tier advisors/researchers not make a conscious effort to rid the place of snakes (snake venom) to prevent anyone from remembering what they endured there... plot logic destroyed. There are so many things wrong with this movie
@Michelle-bn5jyАй бұрын
My take is Slater didn't like things that are too easy. He liked the thrill. Plus he likes to kill people. He could have easily did what you said, but when or if a person who was drugged got bit he ultimately would still be in control and would determine whether to kill or keep the person alive based on what he deemed fit. He got excited to see what a person's true character is like when faced with a crisis. He sees himself as the victim, villain and coward in one. I think that's why deep down he liked Frida because she always fought back when shut hit the fan.
@kayisit9744Ай бұрын
