Deer shed their antlers every year, so the antlers on the wall aren't as dark as you'd think. It's more like saving a cut off length of hair (which they used to do in the Victorian era quite often. They would braid the hair and keep it with a photograph of the person as a memento, and others used their own cut hair and broken strands from brushing to make hair bumps to help with certain hairstyles).

You want to know morbid. Deer will kill and eat birds and snakes when they lack minerals in their diet. Deer have eaten and pulled bones from human corpses, mainly due to calcium and iron deficitiency

About tbe monster at the cave. And for the story i have a teory. There is a mythological monster named the Vendigo. Its a human thet cursed to have hunger for human meat. The apirence of thet monster is like a humanoid deer. The vendigo's cure can be spread like an infection if the pray of the monster get ingured by it but survive. And as the Vendigo eats more human meat it's resemelence to a human will be less. As the Vensigo lose more of its humanity it will get stronger. Fun fact: the goat masked girl as an adult had a deer mask. Or at least i think it was a deer mask from the colors of it.
