Really great and creative visuals!
@AdamKlobukowski2 жыл бұрын
While this prod is really great, visuals are not really creative as they are reimplementation of some PC visualization plugins for popular sound players like Winamp. But they rock anyway.
@gibs752 жыл бұрын
I have not seen winamp since decades. Even if it looks similar, the effects are mainly designed by what the STe can afford. The real designer is the STe itself ;)
@AdamKlobukowski2 жыл бұрын
@@gibs75 I haven't seen winamp for a long time too, but I remember those visualization very well, I spent a lot of time looking at them :) While implementing them on STE is an achievment for sure, they should'n be considered original effects.

Now answer me this people, is it fair to say the Amiga 500 cannot replicate this?
@hexaetre2 жыл бұрын
Not the goal. The goal was to try to make something cool with an STe ;)
@evldhs2 жыл бұрын
Visually it can be replicated. Audio as well but it needs serious effort to write the YM emulator using up two PCM-channels (so it's mono output) and then do the same kind of soundmixer as on the STe to get four PCM-channels out of the remaining two hw-channels. Basically the demo is written around the STe hardware, so it's complicated to convert to Amiga 1:1. Had the demo used the LMC1992 filters (which I think not, correct me if I'm wrong) then the 68000 of the A500 would have a difficult time for sure.
@hexaetre2 жыл бұрын
@@evldhs nope. LMC is just used for fadeout + interactive bass / treble control from menus. As soon as YM is also involved, LMC use is quite restrictive. Another detail I suppose would need some work is the real time bit decimation through the blitter half tone registers.
