I don't even turn my heated blanket on in my camper unless it's close to 0f and when I do, it's definitely on low😂 20F outside is comfy a heavy quilt in a car

Great video. I just got a heated pad ima tryout this week during the rain storm. If it doesn’t work out ima check out the one you got.

How long did you get out of it before the power ran out? What size power bank do you use?

I bet you could pretty easily rig up a defroster for your water tank. If it's important enough to have that water when you're traveling. I'm going to check the local farm implement store to search for a mini tank defreezer that would work for something small like that. I want to replicate your water tank tube system.

Heck yeah! Haven’t gad too many problems with it freezing. Takes a while for that much water to fully freeze

Did you insulate/black-out your windows of the vehicle with Reflectix?

Which electric blankets work with power inverters? Frustrated. Very frustrated. Saved up and tried an electric blanket on power inverter didn't work. Then tried a different one. Also didn't work. They can't seem to get enough juice from the battery bank and power inverter. But there are videos where people say some electric blankets can run on a power inverter. Could use advise on this thanks

The power inverter has to be big enough to lower the blanket but it also won’t really work for camping because the car has to be on charging the battery. Really only will work camping if you have a big battery bank

I believe you need an inverter than produces a SIN wave powerstream, should be indicated in ad and might cost more than cheaper inverters. BUT you will probably not be able to run 7 or 8 hours off a car battery expecting it to still be able to start the car (so use a separate battery).

Sucks that the battery only lasted for hours but it didn't seem very realistic for a small battery to last so long I wonder if a bigger power station or a one-handed power station can do the job. Look up k tor foot pedal generator 50 Watts

Yeah like I said in the video my big battery was getting repaired. It would easily last all night on a power bank.

Great blizzard video! Love the gate shelf idea. Pks let me know what larger blanket battery you use.

Was looking at this too for my camping trip . What power source did you use ? Definitely don’t want it dying on me at 4am 😭 Thank you !
@RileyMonthule2 жыл бұрын
I would use a power station with at least a 100+ watt hour battery. You also have to consider insulation for the battery since any lithium battery starts to not work below freezing. Mine literally doesn’t even turn on below 20 degrees. It’s not super practical for really low temps. I think you’d be much better off with a mummy sleeping bag.

@@RileyMonthule thank you. ! I do have a good heat gear sleeping bag . Where we’re going it’s going to get down to 40 degrees at night and just wanted to be a bit warmer!

@@RileyMonthule Have you found a product or method for insulating your power bank? I want to use this pad with a power bank, but most nights of January and February it will be 20F or less. Thanks for your input. Glad to have found this video, cuz I didnt know the power banks wouldnt work when cold. Was looking to get a bluetti.

It'll only be easier in a van. More space to heat unless you section it off somehow

@@veganpotterthevegan the minivan gets really cold when it hits 50⁰. I got a little heater that I think will work well with a small power station. Candles would be a hit but mostly a miss because of the smoke. Blankets. I have yet to get a electric blanket. And maybe super heat water in a thermos and when needed pour it out in a glass? It's really hot but I don't know if it does anything

@@philipjdry1234 I've comfortably camped well below zero in my Sienna when I had one. Just slept on top of the heated blanket...on low with a fully open sleeping bag on top of me
