I can assure you that the endgame content is so minimal it can be completed in just two weeks. This live service game offers almost no new content, only reskins. Creating a character rig takes a maximum of two hours, and designing a monster in ZBrush takes just a few hours, maybe a day at most. Animations are often reused. With 900 developers, you have to wonder what’s wrong with this company. It seems like nothing gets done. Are they wasting time on something other than the game? Do they start their day with a meeting at 10, read emails from 8 to 9, then take a lunch break, and only work from 1 to 2? I have lost faith in this company; something is definitely broken. the old blizzard came to work, slept at the pffice t ake the best mmo in the world these people art NOT the old blizzard they are infact emposters. using blizzard old name. As a long time Diablo player this looks boring af. I’ve been gaming for over 30 years and have played nearly everything. Like others have said, this Team lacks imagination. It’s like they’re afraid to even try. It’s not the players killing the game, it’s the developers and their unwillingness to actually listen to player feedback regardless of them saying they do. I played it on PTR and if spiced up a little bit would be great! On the right difficulty it was already really good. (Tier 6 for me on PTR) What was bad on PTR is the method to get to it and the rewards. Hopefully these are fixed. P.S. If you find this boring and enjoy running pits instead, there is something wrong with you. Pits are extremely repetitive and without any choices to make.

Exactly. For D4 the art design aspect might be important. But they try to design the game mechanics around the art and story design. It's worked that way with all games though that have had paid expansions if you had the Ultimate gamepass so I'm expecting it to be no different. Since you don't actually own the games on Gamepass, you cant really buy an expansion since you'd just lose access to the game when your subscription ends regardless so for this reason its been included with the subscription.

As far as I’m aware they only changed the wave density and “rewards.” We will see what they actually consider rewards in the campfire/release. If I remember correctly they stated something to the effect of “we’re buffing rewards but, in regards to the boon/bane letdown, we will maybe look into it in the future.”

@@Sins13 I'm very confused on your take here, your doing a lot of assuming here which is funny. I've not bought the expansion yet I most likely will because I do enjoy D4 and crave more good content. What I've seen from s5 isn't more good content to play through another full character leveling. Expansion is of course going to have lots of new content and more story so why would I play through s5 to be quickly bored and possible ruin my enjoyment of the expansion when I can do what I said I'll probably do and not play s5 and just put all my energy into the expansion. There are a hundred of other games I can and will play so yea that is my reasoning and it's strange why you care so much what I do or don't do.

I played the PTR and here are my thoughts after seeing this: 1.looks like the leveling experience will be helltides again with the added spice of hell breaches for the reputation grind. This is great but the endgame content(infernal hordes)addition doesn’t look like it’s going to have much replay value if its really just alternative hybrid version of an objective mission in the open world. 2.the fell council is just the same recoloured NPC they should really look at diversifying with endgame bosses. There is so much potential for great looking NPC’s in Diablo 4 3.new uniques and aspects looks good.This is definitely the lifeblood of what keeps Diablo 4 interesting at the moment. I’m of two minds here. I really question if the seasonal teams play through the previous season’s and really try and build upon what is great about Diablo 4 or do they just try something from a different game and hope it sticks. my theory is that season 5 is an intentional filler season until we get to Vessel of Hatred because I don’t know how much useful feedback the developers could have got from the community with all the bugs the PTR had during its run time. That’s not to say they are not genuinely trying to make season 5 fun it just seems that season 5 will pale in comparison to season 4.

I'm not sure how after a year they still haven't grasped the concept that players want as many enemies as possible So we can just chew through them as we become OP and gain boosts that make us even more OP as they crank up the amount and toughness of the enemies. It is literally that simple. If they want people to stay interested in the Infernal Hordes for longer they need to do something to make the power ups interact with each other in interesting ways to make each run different. And they need to make the rewards worth the time and effort invested. If they can do that they will have a win!

I am a little worried about the wave mode. I have lost all of my interest in D4 literary by the end of June 2023. This game was worth the money as the campaign was really nice, but as a live service game it's just complete trash and it doesn't even compare to PoE or LE.

They should add new shrine buffs that have many different powers specific to this mode. Like the one that shoots needles. Have one that increases your attack speed, or increases the number of player projectiles, fire walking or any kind of element to follow your path, Infinite Resource for a short period. Have them all stack together as you make it through the waves sort of call of duty zombies style. They could really make a cool mode out of this if they are creative with way players get through each wave.

I would like to enjoy PoE. But it is so fucking bloated. And to enjoy the end game, you have to follow a build guide. And idc if it's free, a lot of the really cool cosmetics are over a $100. I pay $10 for a season battlepass, and the cosmetics are awesome. Even the base cosmetics are awesome.

As you mentioned the mob types don't matter anymore. I remember at the launch of the game I had to decide which mob to kill first like the shaman or avoid attack from which mobs. Now all mobs feel the same. I think in this regard the game went in the wrong direction.

I’m excited for s5 because for the new and reworked items and it will hopefully be the Landslide Druid redemption arc. If I had more time I’d play poison dash-in flurry rogue , they new dash will be a game changer

I think the quality of life updates are going to be better than the season mechanic by a long shot. I will probably start season 5, but if it's what we all think it is... I'll probably just wait till season 6.

I'm so tired of the "we have to hold back the season stuff, it's so secret!" and then they tell us "hey, we have nothing new for this season, it was the senschal/infernal horde this whole time" reveal bullshit. This. This is why I am not buying the xpac. For those that did, I hope you get your money's worth, but I bought the ultimate edition of the base game and it's been nothing but promise/fail to deliver/patch it to make it just playable/repeat. I am not rewarding them for failing, or buying a patch that will probally fail.

Its nice to see they tooks some inspiration from other games like PoE, for example the Infernal Hordes mode is like a bigger version of Ultimatum while the Hell breaches are like the labyrinth trails, getting u used to the mechanics wich is a great idea. Now the question will be, will it keep people busy for longer then a week?

I just noticed, and it's subtle, i think they tried to do some ADR. When they talk about Goatmen, listen to the part about Mephisto. Um. I think he says "Fight by her side", and they have altered the audio just a little. If you kinda get why that's wierd, you'll get why im bringing it up. No super spoilers incase you care.
