@@btc1337 Been playing exclusively vanilla since I quit retail during WoD. I didn't enjoy the TBC or Wrath pservers nearly as much. Knew I was going to stay behind and play vanilla. Classic Era has a weird community on it though. Most people playing WarcraftLogs instead of looking at the screen.

When they said there was gonna be TBC Classic, I thought I would come back and never have to leave WoW again. How many failed private servers I had joined to experience TBC.... the sweet spot of all expansions for me, even as someone who hates flying mounts and arenas. But now there is no such thing as an official TBC server..... I had wasted so much time under the pretense that TBC would stick around. Now I'm probably wasting my time with SoD. I suspect it will die after a month into P4 and Blizzard will feel motivated to shut it down.

Man when I found out that my Warrior with freakin Warglaves was being automatically transferred to Wrath I instantly uninstalled. TBC is peak Wow for me personally. I love classic but TBC just cleaned up a lot of the classic mistakes. BRING IT BACK!

My biggest problem with SOD is the level caps, in phase 1 I hated not being able to play the game and level up to lvl 60 and being locked out of all zones, dungeons, quests and pvp ranking, it was trash. I quit SOD at the end of phase 1 and never came back because of the level caps, but also what Payo is saying here that they are turning the game into retail with all the retail spells, retail difficulty options and not to mention turning our beloved 40 man vanilla raids into 20 man raids.... All I wanted from classic plus was the original vanilla game level 1-60 with the new pvp changes where they removed decay and then all classes gets just 1 new ability: like crusader strike for paladin, mangle for feral druid and that's it. Then after 3 months they could start releasing new content to the game like karazhan crypts, scarlet crusade raid etc with only 1 difficulty as it should be.

I don't mind trying a bunch of things, but I agree that I don't like it in classic, because it changes the core of the game too much. Base game vanilla wow is solid. I'd prefer if they finished quest lines, polished some unviable specs like prot and ret pala or feral and moonkin, maybe even added a few dungeons, finished some zones and put in some quests, and otherwise left it.

I think people were so happy with P1 was because it was just the early levels, It was majority in safe zones so pvp was minimal, you felt progression easily because the levels were so quick and the gear changes came in regularly. As the phases went on the leveling got harder, the leveling areas were all in contested zones so pvp griefing was bad on pvp servers and it just took forever to level.

100% based. Having three difficulties will be so toxic...noone will do the first two. So less skilled players will wipe the raid. People will lose WBs and patience and you are locked with only 2 bosses killed. It will drive away casuals and semi-tryhards. Only sweats will keep playing. And that is when the game dies

The thing is, molten core, onyxia, zg, aq20 was the "normal" lvl raid, bwl was heroic , and aq 40, and nax was mytic, you have to play the game ALOT to be able to do nax and aq40, just like todays m+ classic have it charm because there is no catch up.

Instead of everyone having fun around a big WORLD of Warcraft everyone just speedily repeats the same quests in the same areas (incursions) ... Blizz thinking incursions would be a good idea, and thinking the STV event would be a good idea, and thinking only giving certain specs free epics from PvP would be a good idea, and thinking a 20 man raid in P3 would be a good idea ... yeesh ... I have very little faith. I think whoever is designing SoD must be a complete noob
