I actually do, because I can't get to the secret area without the nightmare fire (the path is blocked by spikes), neither can I cheese my way to one of the hostages there (I eat a fireball and use the invincibility to dash across the spike pit). Said hostage also happens to have the Jumper upgrade, which is MANDATORY if you want to clear Gate Stage 1 without Zero or Shadow Armor.

You can also pick X’s Blade Armour as it will help you out a lot when playing the Falling Ice Blocks area.

There’s one thing I love about this song the most. It tells a story. Especially before the track loops again, the part there signifies the feeling of being alone, yet having to press forward. This is similar to Blizzard Wolfang himself who lost his squadron due to the Maverick Virus, yet he still pressed on until his untimely death. Once framed as a Maverick before Alia did him in, that feeling of being alone was all too prevalent.

You know, with this being called North Pole Area, if this weren't in the context of Maverick Hunters trying to stop some rogue animal-shaped robots from killing everyone thanks to a big bad bald guy, I'd imagine this would fit the elves getting ready to deliver their presents to the children in a new modern twist, or perhaps the climax to one of those Christmas specials where Christmas itself is at stake.

Wolfang was a protector/guard or life rescue robot (can't remember correctly). He was framed when his squad died in the snow and scrapped. Gate saved him so...in a way...it fits...

@@theonetrueman666 Alia didn't involve with anything in X6 plot, aside from being Gate's colleague. Gate went mad because of Zero's fragment and did all this. To be fair, there's no hero and villain in the X series: Sigma became evil because Dr Cane told him X is a threat, so he wanted Reploid to evolve pass X so X won't be a threat. He also accidentally saved Zero when the Hunters first discovered Zero. Every "villain" in X series are just huge idiots (like the Reploid Force leaders in X4), or been manipulated.

@@nerdmetall I'll agree to disagree, but I hate this stage the most because of the slippery ice mechanics, meaning you can't wall climb and can fall into death very easily as well as those god-forsaken ice blocks that can also insta-kill you.
