holy crap that was very enjoyable. you can see that harlow held one side while they pushed with the other and that made all the difference.

So glad you're doing blkout bat reps. Really solid work. The Harlow cqb rule got changed though. Reroll misses in half range, not ignore cover, sadly.

Really enjoy watching your blkout games. Really demonstrates the risk of not using cover and how quick these games can be.

great video and battle just 2 things I would like to point out so you know for next time don't worry I made these mistakes as well 4:37 you can't shoot with the HMG as it has the deployed keyword meaning "This Weapon may not be used in a Activation in which this Model moved." 10:4 The team leader's weapon can't ignore cover his weapon has the CQB keyword "This Weapon may reroll all Failed Shots against a Target within half it's range." otherwise awesome loved watching it can't wait for the next one

I have yet to grab the starter set of BLKOUT, but when I do paint it up, I'm considering using colored armbands to denote a unit. Anybody done something like this before? Thanks so much for these BLKOUT batreps! You and D3vious brought me into the tabletop world.

That's so good to hear. Welcome! Armbands are a neat idea. While I haven't seen it done that way it's creative.

I gave my units similar item colors, like my control team all have red gloves, my assault team all have od green shirts, just items that a group of spec ops guys would likely be using to tell them apart from the rest

@@empyreal_lord I would say 40 minutes. In this game when you get shot your butt puckers a bit. Cover really matters. Get a guy in the open and it’s 3D10

Just because of the great demonstration in that opening sequence... I understand the rules, but would making armor saves also be able to get "aces" to count as 2 saves be a bad thing? Basically "I see your ace, and I counter with my own"... I guess my one concern about the game ATM (having not yet played, to be fair) is that the lethal nature can feel like it takes away some player agency... so giving models hit by ranged a slim chance to survive feels more interesting than "oh, sorry, I crit, you gone" as well as making the small # of damage 2 weapons a bit less overpowering. Thoughts after a few games? Does that 10% chance of a defender surviving 2 hits matter that much to change the rules as written?
@MiniatureGameMontage4 ай бұрын
@@SciFiPorkChop28 hmmm, the critical is like that lucky head shot. So no amount of armor would save you. Gameplay wise, maybe. I’m sure it was play tested. I think the game was designed to just be deadly and played quickly.
