BLM Camping in Oregon | Deschutes River | 4K

After SOAK, the Oregon Regional Burning Man Event, I needed some time in solitude to process this amazing experience.
So I loaded up with water, food and a nice hot shower at the City Camp Ground in Maupin, and then headed out to Mack's Canyon on the Deschutes River, which is located about 30 miles NE of Maupin, OR.
I really enjoyed very scenic drive along the Deschutes River although the 17 mile stretch with washboard gravel road was a very slow ride.
At the end of the road there you find a small primitive camp ground right by the river. Besides a few fishermen using the boat ramp during the day, there was no-one out there camping while I was there. It was perfect!

Seriously jealous. To get invited to a private bluegrass festival. That's actually a pretty cool thing to boast. I definitely need to figure out some travel some travel plans for us in the next few years. There are a lot of places I would like to see, and I know she has a few places in mind herself. We just haven't developed the legs to jump from planning to action. Really nice video.
