We are happy to announce Block Busters’ biggest update since its release one year ago.
Multiplayer
Overview:
This multiplayer update includes several enhancements to community features which include free play and competitive game modes, Leaderboards and Meta Achievements.
Multiplayer Game Modes:
• Free play
o Play with up to 4 monsters in Bay City. Practice throwing, mess around with friends, or stage your own monster video in a fully interactable environment!
o Adjustable settings for desired gameplay.
 Players can take damage.
 Spawn the bunker civilians on the map at the start.
 Toggle weapons on or off.
 Hide player name tags.
 Unlimited special power use.
• Competitive
o Compete for Karnage Points by eating civilians and doing damage to other monsters. Avoid getting hit by other objects thrown by your opponents!
 4 player free-for-all dodgeball style game.
 1 Point= 1 Civilian or car eaten.
 2 Points= Hitting a player with a block or car.
 3 Points= Hitting any number of players with your special power
o Spawn 70 civilians into the map to begin the countdown timer and conclude the match. Players will have 60 seconds to eat civilians, attack other monsters with powers or thrown blocks to gain more points, or hide amongst the city to avoid being hunted.
o Scoreboard that highlights player in the lead.
o We have turned off teleportation movement within competitive mode. This was done for balance purposes. We apologize for the inconvenience.
o Winners receive 250 Karnage points per round while all other players receive 100 Karnage points per round.
• Host and Client Features
o Host has total control of all game modes.
o Host can kick players while in the bedroom via the pause menu.
o Unlocked weapons in Hosts room will activate in Freeplay multiplayer mode.
o Host can quickly reset Free play mode in the pause menu.
o Host can quickly reset Competitive mode in the post-game area when the round is complete via the pause menu.
o Both Host and Client can mute players within the pause menu.
o Host and Client have access to numerous instruction widgets situated on the corkboard in the bedroom.
Leaderboards:
• The following leaderboards have been added to Block Buster.
o Fastest times for all levels on all difficulty for single player mode.
o Number of people eaten in single player mode.
o Collection value within players bedrooms.
• Players can track global stats and friends’ stats.
• Players can instantly go to their position within each leaderboard.
Achievements:
• There are now 26 Meta Quest achievements in Block Buster. More information can be found within the Meta Achievements option in the home screen menu.
Other adjustments:
• Extended the distance of Richter Scale’s special attack.
• Shortened the distance and spawned time for Clawtastrophy’s special attack.
• Increased the speed and distance of Ultraviolet’s special attack.
o Ultraviolet is invulnerable to getting hit with blocks when charging special power.
• Monster movement speed reduced to 35% when charging and using a special power.

Right now, you may experience some latency within the game modes when other players throw objects. Latency is determined by the host internet speed. This looks great! I like how you can see fellow players in the room dressed in cosplay style costumes, like you're all a bunch of buddies hanging out, then in the cities you're actual giant monsters eating people and smashing stuff. I'm so excited to play with my friends!

I didn’t really hear if you said new cosplays if not please more like a monster like Gigan or Destroyah and maybe something like Shimo idk if this is to much to ask sorry if it is but for the GoRilla can you make it so you can walk like a real gorilla if you want at any time

This is a known bug we are currently working to fix. We don’t have a date on when the bug will be fixed as we are still tracking it. We are releasing a hot fix today for another issue. This hot fix might fix your hosting issue. I’m sorry for the inconvenience. In the meantime, please try using the random the door to connect with other players who can host. Sorry again and we appreciate your understating!

We used to have private rooms, but had to remove them for the update. We are working to restore private rooms to players!
